We stumbled upon this place by chance after reading other customers' reviews... it's true, it might seem like a tourist hotspot, but once you step inside, you realize it's not that many Italians, just a few foreigners, and if there are older people sitting around, it means the food is good... a Roman trattoria with a 90s feel and equally good service... a nice dive into the past, so for us, pizza and fried food, and what good fried food! The only small flaw was a black hair in the pizza dough... we didn't say anything because we had a great time and will be back as soon as possible... and then the desserts, the Catalan one, how nice to find, no one makes it anymore... and even though it was Saturday night, they let us sit after calling ahead.

Ordered the strozapretti bacon and porcini mushrooms and not sure I was given the right pasta? Still tasted delicious though and really flavourful. Bacon was very crispy - delicious and sauce coated the past perfectly.
Also had the supli which was a nice starter and the mushroom and prosciutto pizza.
Staff are friendly and the old photos on the wall give a family run vibe.

The location may seem a bit touristy, but that impression is immediately belied by the food. The cuisine is authentic, solid, and fully rooted in the finest Roman tradition, executed with great respect for the recipes and the ingredients. The service is also extremely courteous and attentive, significantly contributing to an overall experience that far exceeds expectations.

Not only do they charge a standard 3 euro cover charge, but they also add a 15% tip. I paid 22 euros for food and drink, plus 6.50 euros for their "extras." That's almost 30%. I think that's a lot.
