I Piadinari Casilina In Roma

01/03/2025: Was there this Saturday evening, just the two of us. It's a medium sized place that is far more than just a pizzeria. Went in without a reservation but the owner found us a table after a little persuasion. We were the first but it soon filled up with locals and we were the only tourists. The antipasti choice was ok but the gnocchi and meatballs were great. Wine was more expensive than other recent experience, €19 for a bottle of organic pecorino, but it was very nice. What we loved was the fact it was packed with local families making a right din as they chatted. No music required! Two starters, two main courses and the wine for €50 is pretty good in my book and I'd go again 😊

01/03/2025: The food is good, the atmosphere is typical Italian, noisy, a lot of conversations, nice... but the gentleman who counts the bill no matter what... pay attention to that. Perhaps it's a coincidence, but within a few days in Rome this is another situation where an extra charge is added to the bill. Maybe they have made a habit of it when they feel like a foreign speaker
