The food is truly delicious! I gave it 4 stars for the service and atmosphere because the tables are on the street, with plastic cutlery, and you have to pick up your own plates and bring them to your table. But these are just minor details; the food is excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Excellent sandwiches, plated meat could be improved. I've eaten at I Mantellina several times, and I must say the sandwiches are truly delicious: the sausage and caponata sandwich, in particular, is a true specialty, tasty and well-prepared. As for the plated beef, my experience wasn't as positive: the cut was unusual and poorly finished, and the meat was tough and sinewy. It was a generous portion, but I would have preferred less quantity and higher quality. In summary: I definitely recommend the sandwiches, which are the restaurant's strong point, but I wasn't entirely sold on the plated beef.

Street food in its purest form, as there is no table service, you have to queue both to order and to collect your food.

The food is truly excellent at very competitive prices. Everything is delicious, from the appetizers to the horse and pork dishes. The seating is a bit sparse, and there's no table service. Highly recommended; we've been coming here for years, and it's never disappointed.

The BBQ was delicious, and you could order whatever you wanted. There's a large parking lot about a 10-minute walk away, making parking easy.

The only flaw is the plastic cutlery; the portions are generous, with meat and side dishes; the service is limited to setting up the table; you order at the counter, pay, and then are called when your food is ready. The grilled food is excellent, well-cooked and seasoned, and the atmosphere is informal and friendly.

Extraordinary. Very generous portions (we miscalculated and overdid it a bit). Excellent horse meat and the side dishes for only €1 are exceptional and abundant. The bread was also exceptional. If I ever return to Acireale, I will definitely return here. Congratulations ❤️

Sublime expression of the warmth of Acese, the lady and her whole family will welcome and pamper you like when you were little and entered your grandmother's house. No silver cutlery, no ornamental tables and chairs, but good food in all its forms. It is the street food par excellence, it is Sicilianness on a plate, it is the emotion of rediscovering those flavors that remind you of home. What can I say, the quality/price ratio is absolutely unbeatable and the authenticity of the ingredients is proven. For me it is a must in this city. Long live the mantellina ❤️ Ps: if you go there, and I warmly recommend it, do not think of going to McDonald's where you order and after 1 minute everything arrives ready. Here things are grilled on the spot (in fact, the pistachio cassatelle are closed on the spot). So if you have to wait a little, I can only tell you that the wait increases the desire, and it is definitely worth it.
