Excellent place to have a sandwich or a meat-based dish, excellent quality and quantity of dishes.

For years now, it's been the best place to feel in Acireale in terms of cuisine. Simple, fast, welcoming, and delicious, it practically ticks all the boxes. Anyone who truly knows the people behind the counter, those who manage everything from the smallest to the largest, knows that the Mantellinas are people who had the brains, but above all the heart, to open a place like this. The food is very good, the service is extremely friendly, the prices are incredibly outrageous for what you get (in a good way), and the mother who runs the place is incredibly kind, generous, and never forgets her customers.

The food is truly delicious! I gave it 4 stars for the service and atmosphere because the tables are on the street, with plastic cutlery, and you have to pick up your own plates and bring them to your table. But these are just minor details; the food is excellent and definitely worth a visit.

Excellent sandwiches, plated meat could be improved. I've eaten at I Mantellina several times, and I must say the sandwiches are truly delicious: the sausage and caponata sandwich, in particular, is a true specialty, tasty and well-prepared. As for the plated beef, my experience wasn't as positive: the cut was unusual and poorly finished, and the meat was tough and sinewy. It was a generous portion, but I would have preferred less quantity and higher quality. In summary: I definitely recommend the sandwiches, which are the restaurant's strong point, but I wasn't entirely sold on the plated beef.

Street food in its purest form, as there is no table service, you have to queue both to order and to collect your food.

The food is truly excellent at very competitive prices. Everything is delicious, from the appetizers to the horse and pork dishes. The seating is a bit sparse, and there's no table service. Highly recommended; we've been coming here for years, and it's never disappointed.

The BBQ was delicious, and you could order whatever you wanted. There's a large parking lot about a 10-minute walk away, making parking easy.

The only flaw is the plastic cutlery; the portions are generous, with meat and side dishes; the service is limited to setting up the table; you order at the counter, pay, and then are called when your food is ready. The grilled food is excellent, well-cooked and seasoned, and the atmosphere is informal and friendly.
