We ate at Gutt d'Oli on Lake Maggiore yesterday. We had spaghetti carbonara and pizza capricciosa – both absolutely delicious! The prices were absolutely fair.
We also had the house white wine, which was also very good – the value for money is definitely there. Very child-friendly, there are plenty of seats outside under the roof, but we found it even more comfortable inside. You can sit downstairs or upstairs, so there's plenty of space.
We were there on a Sunday evening; it was quite busy, but we still managed to get a seat without any problems.
Conclusion: Very good Italian food, pleasant atmosphere, and excellent value for money – we highly recommend it!

The food was delicious. A flavor explosion, especially the Iberico pork! We were very pleased with the cuisine. It's a shame that in such a good restaurant, salads are served with packets of oil and vinegar. We had to ask several times to get enough sauce in packets. Apparently, this was for hygiene reasons.

Gutt d'Oli is a pizzeria restaurant with a difference, thanks in part to the presence of some interesting local dishes on the menu.
For our first course, we had pasta with wild garlic pesto, a delicious and highly digestible garlic that grows in our local woods. It's absolutely one of the best pasta dishes I've eaten in Verbano.
The carbonara wasn't as impressive; it wasn't as flavorful as I expected and was far from the classic recipe.
The second courses were also very popular.
The fried calamari was crispy, not greasy, and soft; the quality of the fish was evident in every bite.
What surprised me, however, were the fried frog legs, a dish that never really stood out to me, but here, thanks in large part to the expert breading, they completely changed my mind.
The desserts were truly delicious; I appreciated the attention to the local area, since, in addition to the homemade ones, the others are purchased from the fantastic local dairies in Crodo.
Fast and very friendly service, we felt very well looked after despite the crowd.
I highly recommend it.
