I Gutt d'Oli In Verbania

The two of us went there on a Saturday afternoon. We had a reservation for 12:30 at this unfamiliar place for a casual lunch. We arrived 10 minutes early, no problem, we were greeted and seated immediately. Excellent welcome, excellent food. Simple dishes, but the menu also offers more elaborate options, including traditional Ossola dishes, and even a few off-menu ones. What can I say? Generous portions, a very quiet place, and excellent food. The restaurant is an old renovated farmhouse away from the busy streets, with that old-world feel that I find magnificent. We ate really well, we were warmly welcomed. Everything was almost perfect. The only flaw, if I had to find one, was the service, which, while friendly, punctual, and pleasant, was a bit slow. Lunch took almost an hour and a half. Maybe it was a fluke, an unlucky day, but if it's always like this, it's good to know. You can relax and enjoy a good meal in peace. I'll definitely be back as soon as I can. Recommended.

Always a pleasure! We've been coming here for years during our holidays to eat. It's simple but cozy, and the owner always manages to find a table even without a reservation. The pizza is large and delicious! The employee behind the counter was especially friendly. We're already looking forward to next year!

Found this restaurant on Google Maps, it was a delightful discovery for a delicious lunch. Excellent food quality, excellent service, and friendly staff. Fair prices. Convenient outdoor parking is available. The fried lake fish is highly recommended!

A pizza lovers delight, if you haven't tried their version of Pizza, you're missing out, dessert was a delicious semi-fredo, also a treat! Sempre fantastico!

Unfortunately, I have to say that the quality of the dishes is adequate. The service is good, the staff are always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is nice, but I repeat, the price is medium-low, as is the quality of the food. The risotto with a "watery" sauce and the spaghetti with Zola were average (but I thought it would be excellent, given the average reviews). The pizza might be better (which I haven't tried). Okay for German tourists on vacation who want to dine out on a budget and without too many expectations.
