Restaurant that offers the menu of the day every day at very reasonable prices. Good choice of wines, even by the glass. It's a shame about some aspects of the environment, the naked table and the musical background of a sometimes crackling radio which disturbs the conversation. The outdoor area and sternum are beautiful and the service is always welcoming.

Very good food, especially the tortelli with potatoes were heavenly and the pizza baked perfectly! Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful Authentic Italian Restaurant. Service was impeccable.

I had an excellent early lunch here. I sat outside though it’s cold and damp in December, but the overhead heating was just right. A lovely Negroni to start, then home-made thicker spaghetti alla carettiera with a Chianti Classico. A carettiere is a wagon-driver, a truck driver, so he likes it spicy, but not flamboyantly. I then had a mixed salad —that means tomatoes too and they were remarkably good for this time of year. Restaurants here expect you to mix your own salad dressing, but I categorically refuse. I tell them they have to do it: I’m not Italian, and that seems to be a winning argument every time. You’re welcome to use it as well. How was it, the waitress asked? Excellent carettiera and the best mixed salad up to now (“finora in Italia”). Well, she said, the deep-dish apple pie was also the best in Italy. I had it, and she was right

Tuve un excelente almuerzo temprano aquí. Me senté afuera aunque hace frío y humedad en diciembre, pero la calefacción era la correcta. De vuelta a Florencia la semana pasada, por tercera vez este año. ¡De vuelta a I Ghibellini tantas veces que hemos perdido la cuenta! Me encanta la ubicación y la comida. Los especiales diarios son increíbles. La semana pasada, tuvimos un risotto por el que morir. Estábamos deseando ver a Valerio, pero en las dos ocasiones que estuvimos allí para almorzar la semana pasada, él estaba trabajando por las noches. Esperamos verlo cuando volvamos en marzo.
