Hotel Villaggio La Mantinera Pizzeria In Praia a mare

Praia a Mare and its surroundings were a great discovery and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay! (July 2024) Excellent location for visiting the Island of Dino (practically opposite), Maratea and Christ the Redeemer, the Arco Magno of San Nicola Arcella and for being able to immerse yourself in the mountains and live the rafting experience. Room and all common areas of the village very clean and tidy, staff always friendly and available 24 hours a day, excellent food and quite efficient table service thanks to Natale, our courteous and friendly waiter who kept us company throughout the week! I recommend trying the pizzeria in the village because we have never eaten such good Neapolitan pizza! We also really appreciated the nice little train/shuttle that took us to the beach and the possibility of being able to leave the car in the village literally in front of the room where you are staying was excellent. It is a very quiet environment and especially suitable for families with children, also because this year the entertainment wasn't that great but at least the little ones managed to have fun! Perhaps the entertainment was the only flaw but, on the other hand, after an intense day, tiredness made itself felt and therefore you immediately returned to your room after dinner or you could be taken to Praia a Mare by a free shuttle always proposed by the village. We will take with us a beautiful memory of this holiday for the people we met and the crazy places that are there... Although, unfortunately, a week was not enough for us to visit the whole area, so this could be a good reason to return! 😄

I was with my family this summer. I have to say that we will return.. beautiful place. the sea is wonderful.. the rules in the village are fundamental for the stay.. the only flaw is that a walkway would be needed to enter the water .. especially for older people... everything else is wonderful

Clean village, perfect service in the room and restaurant. We eat very well. Abundant breakfast, lunch and dinner also. The beach and the sea are a bit uncomfortable as soon as there is a bit of bad weather everything becomes unstoppable. A little far from the town which on the other hand offers very little.

Place of the heart. Magnificent location for nature lovers.

It is not directly on the sea but there is a continuous train

The only thing that didn't live up to expectations was the village restaurant. Food poorly cooked, tasteless, insufficient in quantity, and complete absence of starters.
