Beautiful structure, comfortable and well-organized conference center.

Everything is beautiful, the room is really spacious, the bathroom is large but the shower is small, for the wow effect it needs to be refined a bit

Very well maintained hotel, quiet and close to the city center

Nice, clean, well-kept hotel with very friendly staff. It's a shame that you don't get towels at the pool. You can get these at reception, but you have to pay 3.50 euros. If you want to replace it, you have to pay 3.50 euros again. This is not common in the other 4 star hotels I know.

Nettes Hotel mit gutem Essen und sehr freundlichem Personal. Zimmer sehr sauber, gute Lage zum Zentrum. Nicht neuester Stand, aber sehr gepflegt. Negativ: Shuttle zum Strand kostenpflichtig Badetuch 3.50 Euro pro Tag ( nicht schön für ein 4-Stern -Hotel)

Cool pasein place and good food

Auf meiner Rennradtour nach Sizilien habe ich im Hotel Tropis übernachtet für eine Nacht. Die Zimmer sind schon recht in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber. Das Personal war freundlich und das Frühstück sehr gut und vielseitig für italienische Verhältnisse, mit 55.- Euro das Einzelzimmer gutes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis!

For my week of vacation in Calabria, I chose the Hotel Tropis in Tropea because I wanted an easily accessible location from which tours were easily possible even without a rented vehicle. The hotel meets this criterion 100 percent. It was easy to reach the place in a short time, where there are many options for leisure activities - such as the numerous restaurants, bars, shops and the beach. The train connection to the nearby train station is also perfect for exploring the area by train. The Hotel Tropis looks very well maintained from the outside; the positive impression continues in the building. There are, among other things, an inviting restaurant area. However, the room assigned to me on the first floor seemed very dark and had a narrow balcony, the wall of which increased the darkness, without a relaxing view. Having only concrete walls or a view in front of you that is reminiscent of a bricked-up window - a somewhat oppressive feeling. and not recommended. In terms of sleeping comfort: The bed was fine. But the building technology (fans, etc.), which was located on the outside of the building opposite, kept making real noise. The noise may also have had something to do with the location near the train station. The room was noisy anyway; You could clearly hear the toilet flushing from the room neighbor in the evening. The air conditioning did its job; When the balcony door was opened, it switched off by itself. Or it was manually set to "Off". The bathroom facilities were again good. The room was cleaned daily and there were always fresh towels. I had booked half board. I can rate the breakfast as average. It was typical standard, without any special highlights. No vegan alternatives either. The drinks were available to order at a kind of coffee bar. For dinner: The menu, which could be chosen (with fish or meat), was served in a visually appealing way. It was tasty; However, after a few days I got bored; I also missed a certain amount of variety here. When checking out, in addition to the local tax, I was charged for a drink that I had not ordered. I didn't complain about this because I noticed it too late. My conclusion: I would no longer book the double room = single room for single use (standard room) at the Hotel Tropis through my tour operator because I found the location of the room to be unsuitable for relaxation. A comfort room with a sea view would definitely have been the right choice for me. Unfortunately, this was not offered through the tour operator at the time of my booking. And when it comes to eating, I would only have breakfast at the hotel and not choose half board. At this point we would like to thank the staff, who were friendly and nice.
