Hotel Rudy In Riva del garda

Functional for a few days, but the rooms need updating. Just a few weeks before our vacation, my partner and I were looking for affordable accommodation near Riva. The Hotel Rudy is located about 2 kilometers north of the city center. We walked there almost every evening to enjoy a (really delicious) meal. When we arrived, we tried to check in about two hours before the stated check-in time. The friendly staff member made sure our room was cleaned with priority, and we only had to wait half an hour. Our room on the second floor was easily accessible by both the elevator and the (fairly narrow) stairs. The door was a bit awkward to open, and the room key was very old-school (no card or anything like that) and clunky. The room opened onto two balconies, from which we had a direct view of the main street. One room had two seats and a small table, but unfortunately, due to the very bad weather for the end of July, we couldn't make use of them. The furnishings and fittings are a bit dated and very worn. The bathroom, especially the shower, is very small and difficult to use even for slim people. The bathroom door (see photo) had disgusting stains, and I didn't even want to know where they came from. The beds were quite deep, but functional. The biggest drawback for us was actually the very thin and thin walls. Combined with "great" neighbors who don't know how to sleep well at night, last night was a complete nightmare. The street noise is also quite loud; if you're sensitive to this, you should ask for another room. We visited the pool twice. It's beautifully quiet, large enough for cooling off, and offers sunbathing space for around 25 hotel guests. If the weather is good and you don't necessarily want to swim laps, it's perfectly adequate. The breakfast was delicious throughout our entire vacation, the selection was absolutely sufficient, and there was always something to suit everyone. I think everyone will find something to their liking here. We didn't use the hotel restaurant during our stay. Overall, the hotel is highly recommended for a short trip to Lake Garda (with a few reservations). However, there are certainly more modern options available at a comparable price.

Very friendly staff 👍 Cozy pool area Great breakfast. We stayed there for 7 days. It's a 5-minute bike ride to the center of Riva del Garda. The only downside is the bathroom, which was unfortunately too small.

Small and charming hotel Breathtaking view from the balcony. Excellent service at reception. Nice pool. Great and varied breakfast! High level of cleanliness. Please note that reception is only open until 9pm, after which there is no service. There is a restaurant and bar in the hotel. A bit noisy because it is right on the road, but we were not bothered. Ample parking behind the hotel.

The hotel is in one word perfect. We stayed here for 2 nights and were extremely satisfied. Breakfast - luxurious Room cleaning - perfect Hotel/reception services - perfect Swimming pool - luxurious 20 minute walk to the city Highly recommended🥳

We have been guests of this structure several times and we have always found ourselves very very well. The availability never fails The hotel is always updated, tidy, clean. You eat well, the breakfast is excellent, it has a swimming pool, bikes, located near the Garda shore at a fair price.

Super kind and helpful staff! We had to cancel the trip to Riva because of unforeseen circumstances and our climbing tour becoming impossible thereafter. Usually hotels just keep the money and are pretty inflexible, but they granted us an exception and we got refunded, which I found so kind and heartwarming. Thank you so much! We will be back for the tour as soon as stars align! ☀️

I recommend this hotel for its ideal proximity to Riva del Garda town center: just a 5-minute drive 🚗 and about a 20-minute walk 🚶‍♂️. The rooms are spacious, well-appointed, and the bed very comfortable—no complaints there ✅. The breakfast is plentiful, varied, and of good quality 🍽️🥐🍉. However, we were disappointed to find that the swimming pool was not available ❌🏊‍♀️, without having been informed in advance. Furthermore, the reception was clearly lacking in friendliness: on several occasions, our greetings went unanswered 🙁. A big thank you, however, to the housekeepers, who are cheerful and professional and provide impeccable service 👏.
