Hotel Ristorante Il Castagneto In Amatrice

We stayed at Castagneto during a motorcycle tour, staying two nights in a triple room. The hotel is welcoming, and the staff, especially Mr. Giovanni at the front desk and the "genius" handyman, were extremely kind and offered helpful advice. The hotel's cuisine is simple and excellent. We highly recommend this property, and we hope to stay there again.

We stumbled upon the restaurant by chance. We had a gricia and an amatriciana for main courses. I have to say the gricia was the best I've ever had. Truly top-notch! The meal was rounded out with an excellent appetizer and a lovely selection of desserts and fruit. The wine selection was excellent. Prices are medium-high, but worth it.

I stayed just one night in September. The hotel is newly built and has a garage. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. The staff is friendly and efficient, and the quality/price ratio is good.

Last Saturday, on the way to Campo Imperatore, I stopped here for lunch, at the recommendation of a few followers, and I must say it was a heart-warming culinary experience! Excellent location under the chestnut trees and with a beautiful view of the meadow and greenery. I ate lunch outside, then had a lovely appetizer, a first course called Bacchetta?? (I don't remember, folks, but it had a similar name anyway) which combines Gricia and Amatriciana on the same plate with a sprinkling of pecorino cheese, a spectacle... then dessert, coffee, wine, water, €25. Because after this first course, I couldn't eat anything else.

Excellent hotel located in the center of Amatrice. We stayed there for the Amatriciana festival, which was a two-minute walk away. The hotel is newly built, very nice and clean. We didn't eat there, but we had an excellent breakfast with a little bit of everything. It's a quiet and relaxing place. Perhaps a little pricey, but overall, a great experience.

An oasis in a city still in a sad twilight. A completely modern and new restaurant/hotel, which you may or may not like, but which gives a sense of rebirth. We went for lunch and were greeted by the very kind staff. The food was delicious and excellent value. An excellent experience.

Dinner under the stars at Castagneto was a delight, featuring classic Italian dishes, well-prepared and served with professionalism. The venue exudes a new, very welcoming warmth. The music accompanied us throughout the dinner with pleasant discretion. Despite the tragedy of 2016, Amatrice is still a reliable source of food.

A warm welcome and a delicious dinner. The staff is extremely friendly and courteous, especially Daniele, known as the genius, who offers plenty of tips for bikers wanting to explore the area.
