We arrived around 1 pm, took a seat, and ordered a platter of cured meats and cheeses (we received a lot of cured meats and, to be precise, 3 pieces of cheese; I'm a vegetarian and could only eat those three pieces from the platter). The food was good and of good quality, with just the right portions, and the waiter was very kind. (We also ordered two starters.) But the thing that really bothered us came when we got the bill, not because of the bill itself, which was more than adequate, but because when we asked about cross-country ski rental (next door), a girl gave us a really rude answer. We felt uncomfortable around her. Personally, I'm local, and I'm even more sorry that those who come from out of town have to put up with such answers, complete with a chuckle, as if we all lived in Bielmonte and knew how thick the snow is. I'm sorry but even though the food was of good quality, this lack of professionalism will make us consider other types of facilities in the future.

To start the year off right, we chose to have lunch with family and friends at the Locanda restaurant: the perfect place for a break after a beautiful hike in the mountains. A warm and welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and traditional Biella dishes.

Very friendly staff and top-notch polenta concia! One of the best I've ever tasted. It's a simple dish, but you can taste the authenticity of the carefully balanced ingredients. Well done! PS: I went back recently and I can confirm the polenta was good, but the venison stew arrived barely warm for both of us, as was the polenta. The gentleman in the apron wasn't the best.

We ate at the restaurant. The food was good, the dining room was welcoming, and a little more courtesy wouldn't hurt.
