I have no words to describe how good we have been these days at the refuge. If I had known, I probably would have made the whole trip there, since the location is great too. The food a 10, both breakfast and dinner (all very homemade, top quality products and very well prepared and tasty dishes). The double rooms with private bathroom (something impossible to find in other refuges, especially in Catalonia), very cozy and with comfortable beds, perfect views of Lake Fedaia and the mountain, at the foot of the Marmolada. The attention, needless to say, has also been a 10.

For over 10 years now, we've been coming to this refuge every chance we get to enjoy excellent local food at absolutely fair prices. The staff is, as always, extremely friendly, and the place is managed with great care. The food is very good, never disappoints, and certainly memorable, in my opinion, is the berry tart, a real treat, the best I've ever eaten. I recommend it!

A week ago we stayed at the Dolomia refuge, located in a simply stunning location at the foot of the Marmolada. The view of the mountain is spectacular, and the refuge offers a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the owner did everything she could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. It's the ideal place to relax and enjoy the Dolomites.

Absolutely wonderful staff, very helpful in every way. We had a mechanical issue with our car and they did everything they could to help us even though we weren't even staying at the hotel.

We had a pleasant stay at this refuge on the Fedaia Pass. We stayed half board, and the breakfasts were excellent and the dinners delicious. The entire refuge staff took impeccable and friendly care of us. There are so many interesting places nearby.

I have some doubts about the rating of this facility. If you consider it a refuge, there's nothing to complain about. I don't expect anything more; in fact, I'd say it's excellent. If you consider it a hotel, then I think they should do a little better. Let's be clear, the staff is truly excellent, but I wasn't entirely convinced by the dinner menu. The vegetable buffet was certainly excellent, but the rest could be better. But, again, if you consider it a refuge, then everything is fine. I think I'd still recommend it, especially for the kind attention of those who run it. The surrounding area, needless to say given that we're at the foot of the Queen of the Dolomites, is beyond comment. I also recommend a visit to the Great War Museum, which is just a short walk from the refuge. It's very well run and truly interesting (open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday).

Great place for a 5*, but... Average food - thinner slices of meat would be paper... Rooms clean, but equipment very old. You could hear everything. Rooms cannot be locked, no privacy. A crumbling shared balcony, from which you have a view of the mess behind the hotel and sharp shards of tiles fall off, which you can easily cut yourself on. It shouldn't look like this...

12/08/2025: Just like when the two brothers ran the small stube in Fai della Paganella, nothing has changed; if anything, the location in this beautiful church square has improved. Fair prices, good food, and, above all, great service from the two owners.

28/10/2025: A Wonderful Dining Experience – Exceptional Food and Hospitality We arrived after a long bike ride, still in full gear and outside the official opening hours, and asked if the kitchen was still open. After a quick check, the staff kindly agreed to serve us — and from that moment on, everything was simply fantastic. We started with homemade bread in four different colors, served with matching spreads — already worth mentioning on their own. The amuse-bouche, saffron rice fritters on olive paste, was a promising start. The following dishes were outstanding: ravioli filled with cod and tagliatelle with shrimp — both perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The octopus on lemon purée was tender and beautifully balanced, while the seared tuna with braised fennel and seasoned spinach was nothing short of a revelation. Dessert was another highlight: the tiramisu struck a perfect balance between the cream and soaked biscuits — not too watery, not too dry — easily one of the best we’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly friendly and even stayed open a little longer so we could enjoy our late lunch at 4 p.m. As a charming final gesture, we received the cookies served with our coffee as a small package to take with us. Prices were absolutely fair for the quality and generous portions. Many restaurants charge similar prices for food that’s nowhere near as refined. In short: a truly memorable experience — from the warm welcome to the very last bite.
