The hotel welcomed our group very kindly, the staff is hospitable, everything is clean and the sea is just a few minutes' walk away.

Masseria located in Bari, not far from the sea. It looks more like a monastery or convent than a masseria. The rooms are spartan and austere. The decor of the common areas is unusual. The welcome is equally unusual: they ask for ID just to accompany you to your room to help you with your luggage and to say goodbye, and you're only allowed to stay for 10 minutes… there aren't really any common areas where you can sit and chat and relax, and you can't order anything, not even a coffee… That said, the premises are clean. And the price is more than reasonable, breakfast included.

A hotel that's especially convenient when you arrive late at night, as the staff provides night service. Otherwise, it's comfortable and clean, but the cleaning staff are very noisy in the morning. As for breakfast, I recommend you have it elsewhere...

My wife and I often come to Italy on holiday. This time we came to Bari to worship the relics of St. Nicholas and spend a few days at the seaside. We chose to stay at the 4-star Hotel Palumbo near the sea, located in the Palese district, 10 kilometres from the centre of Bari. The hotel is housed in a large old villa with unusual architecture. Guests have access to spacious rooms with high ceilings, most of which have verandas and balconies. These newly renovated and clean rooms are equipped with air conditioning, modern showers and bathroom fixtures, comfortable beds and other necessary furniture. Hotel guests can relax in spacious lounges with fireplaces and knight's armour, enjoy a variety of drinks in two bars, and sit on the spacious verandas in the courtyard of this welcoming hotel. The hotel does not have its own car park, but cars can always be parked on the street near the hotel entrance. The hotel premises are equipped with a video surveillance system, electronic locks are built into the doors of the rooms, and safes are installed in the wardrobes. Breakfast is served in a spacious hall at professionally set tables, traditionally covered with white tablecloths. Breakfast includes fruit, local sausages, ham and cheese, pizza, eggs, cakes, pies, rolls, coffee, tea, water, juices, dairy products and more. We thank the hotel staff for preparing and serving breakfast, which is included in the price of your stay. There are several equipped paid beaches and two free sandy beaches 200 meters from the hotel on the seafront, as well as a concrete pier extending into the sea, where you can sunbathe and swim. The sea water in August was very warm, clean and clear. The seabed on the beaches is mainly sandy, and its depth allows adults to swim and children to play. There are many bars, several restaurants and pizzerias for every taste on the seafront and on the street leading to the sea. In our opinion, the main attraction of Bari is the cathedral with the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, located in the centre of the old town. We also recommend visiting the old centre of Bari with its ancient temples and houses, cosy restaurants, historical and cultural attractions. The small towns around Bari, such as Giovanazzo, are also of great interest. Visiting the towns of Matera and Alberobello, located about 100 kilometres from Bari, was particularly memorable for us. My wife and I would like to thank all the hotel staff for their attentive and respectful attitude towards guests. We would especially like to thank the manager, Christina, who helped us with particular kindness and patience, provided us with all the necessary tourist and practical information, kindly gave us beach umbrellas and took care of breakfast, and tried to make our stay at the hotel unforgettable and informative. We would also like to thank Christina, the cleaner, for keeping our room spotless and always providing fresh towels. We really enjoyed our stay at the Palumbo Hotel, surrounded by professional and friendly staff on the shore of the warm and clean sea. In our opinion, this hotel offers very good value for money and a high level of service. We will be happy to visit the Palumbo Hotel again. Natalia & Alexander Germany
