Hotel Clara Via Brennero, 64, 39040 Varna, BZ, Italy, located near the border with Bressanone: EXCELLENT RATING In November 2025, we stayed for two weeks at the Clara Family Hotel in Bressanone. The Clara family has been managing hotels and restaurants in the area for several generations, and their longstanding traditions have always distinguished them for their culinary art and hospitality. This hotel has a good number of rooms in the central area, all perfectly equipped and comfortable. Interestingly, there is also an adjacent building accessible both from the outside and via a beautiful and well-lit underground passageway. This building features a beautiful indoor pool, as well as a sauna and a very well-equipped gym. We were given a huge suite of over 40 square meters, equipped with every comfort, including a stone fountain with fresh, local drinking water that flows directly from the high mountains of Scaleres. The double bed is very large and particularly soft and comfortable, not to mention the separate living room and desk. Completing the comfort of the room are the separate toilet with bidet and shower, both very comfortable and with double sinks, making the suite extremely functional. The lighting is exceptional, and the view of the garden is wonderful through large, heat-insulating and soundproof windows that open onto a large balcony. The floors and furniture are all oak. We are pleased to highlight the impeccable cleanliness that reigns supreme throughout the hotel, along with the spontaneous kindness of all the staff, distinguished by their courtesy and professionalism. And finally, we must absolutely highlight the high caliber of the chefs and the quality of the ingredients for both breakfast and dinner, served in a typical Tyrolean-style dining room, expertly managed by Mr. Vassili. The two receptionists, Mrs. Stefi Clara, the owner, and Mrs. Verena, the manager, are unsurpassed in their courtesy and efficiency. The talented owner's performances on some evenings, with his accordion and his traditional Tyrolean music, were pleasant and appreciated. Our rating is undoubtedly EXCELLENT. I stayed at this hotel with my family and had a more than satisfactory experience. The room was spacious and very clean, the staff was friendly and available to provide any information requested, the breakfast was varied, and dinner was well-prepared and of excellent quality. A well-equipped gym and spa with a pool are also available. The hotel is well-located, just steps from the historic center and the main tourist attractions. I highly recommend it to everyone! The entire hotel stay was perfect. The welcome was excellent and the hotel had all the comforts. The rooms were warm and quiet, and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommended.

We stayed at the Hotel Clara with a tour group from September 29th to October 5th and were thoroughly satisfied. We had a simple room for just one night. Despite the budget category, the room was really decent. The wellness area is very small, as is the lounge area. The garden is beautifully landscaped. Unfortunately, it's just too noisy from the street to truly relax. The breakfast was okay, but not 4-star for me.

Fantastic experience. Spacious and extremely welcoming room. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent (prepared and delicious food). Excellent location (directly on the cycle path) just a few kilometers from Bressanone, easily accessible by public transport. Numerous amenities (fitness area, swimming pool, etc.) as well as a large car park and bicycle storage area. Last but not least, I'd like to mention the courtesy of the owners and all the staff. I absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

A beautiful, privately run hotel a few kilometers from the center of Brixen. Fine dining and a wellness area with a pool.
