Hosteria del Cavo In Cremona

We had dinner at this restaurant, discovered by chance. The risottos were truly excellent, the appetizers were buffet-style, and the desserts were delicious. We'll definitely be back next time we're in Cremona.

What can I say that's different from what others have already posted? Nothing, in fact, I also found a family atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff, and excellent food.

A small, very welcoming place, tastefully decorated, with friendly and always helpful staff. For dinner with friends, we had appetizers from the buffet, risotto with pork shank and salami paste, pumpkin cream with gorgonzola, truffle, zucchini flowers, and zucchini. (Incredibly delicious and plentiful.) Wine and water were served, and desserts included: torta paradiso and zabaglione, chocolate panna cotta, and chocolate meringues. We paid a fair price, highly recommended, and will definitely return. The stars are well deserved.

Excellent restaurant for the quality of its cuisine, friendly service, and attentive ambiance. Traditional dishes, especially risottos of all kinds, are served.

On our return from a wonderful trip, we decided to stop for lunch in Cremona, choosing this Hosteria. I called to make a reservation, and from the owner's friendliness and honesty over the phone, I already thought I'd made the right choice. Upon arriving, we were greeted with the utmost courtesy, and it immediately felt like home. The place is lovingly decorated, and the owner's unique flair shines through in every corner. He even mentioned that he had personally taken care of the renovations. I agree with the excellent reviews of the risottos (the Taleggio, pear, and cinnamon one was superb) and the delightful buffet of fresh and cooked vegetables with cheeses. I recommend it to everyone as a must-visit in Cremona. We'll definitely be back.

Excellent risottos offered in many variations. Rich and inviting buffet of pickles, cheeses and vegetables. Compliments to the owner who has been running this tavern for many years.

I've been coming here for years when I'm in Cremona for work, since 2008 now, and I can say with certainty that Hostería Del Cavo is a must if you're passing through. The lunch formula has an excellent quality/price ratio with a single risotto dish and a quality appetizer buffet at a more than fair price.

La specialità è il risotto declinato in più ricette locali con porzioni generose. Abbiamo iniziato con un antipasto di affettati niente male. Se non avessimo preso anche le verdure al buffet all’inizio avremmo continuato con i secondi. Buono il Barbera della casa buono. Servizio e cortesia hanno allietato la cena.
