Good traditional food and an excellent menu choice for a romantic or business evening. I personally had a hard time tackling the dessert, which wasn't as described on the menu. The other dessert, unfortunately, wasn't cooked at all.

We had dinner yesterday for two and had a wonderful meal, with excellent tagliata and vegetables paired with a good bottle of Refosco. The only complaint is that we paid one euro each for the two glasses of water we ordered with the wine. Highly recommended, even if they could have included it in the €3 cover charge. A bit of a letdown, in our opinion.

We had a wonderful lunch in the cool and peaceful internal courtyard, surrounded by plants, bamboo groves, and flowers, with a large, beautifully set table. The owner personally takes orders, explaining the menu and carefully recommending the perfect wine pairing. Everything was delicious, but the bigoli in duck ragù and the desserts, including the excellent crème brûlée, were truly exquisite.

This place was fantastic. We stopped for a quick break in our drive with our 18 month old, and didn’t know where to go. We stumbled into this place and the food was absolutely fantastic, with great hospitality and we would absolutely return if we had more time in the country

The service was impeccable; the staff was kind and available to answer all my questions. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, perfect for a romantic dinner or a dinner with friends. But the real star is the food! The dishes were prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and the flavor is simply explosive. The pasta was cooked to perfection, with a homemade ragù sauce—divine. If you haven't tried Primi Piatti da Sandro yet, don't wait! It's a must for any lover of good food. You won't be disappointed! 5 stars for the food, 5 stars for the service, 5 stars for the atmosphere... 5 stars overall! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
02/11/2025: Family atmosphere: the owner was very kind and always available for a chat. The place is very charming, with a fireplace and brick arches. They gave us a table near the fireplace, and it was truly a pleasure to eat while gazing at the fire and feeling the welcoming warmth. It was like being at home! The food was very homemade and delicious: delicious mushrooms and fabulous gnocchi! Everything was perfect.

The six-course tasting menu at Ristorante Gellius is a true sensory journey: carefully crafted, surprising, and perfectly balanced dishes that will literally leave you speechless. The atmosphere is rare in its calm—the only thing you have to do is let go and enjoy the moment. The staff, impeccable in every detail, takes care of the rest: top-notch service, attentive but never intrusive. The location is truly unique: dining surrounded by Roman ruins is an experience that combines elegance and history, making everything even more special. A Michelin-starred restaurant that deserves every single accolade.
05/10/2025: Very good and well-prepared dishes. The location is charming and the service is very friendly. I have one complaint, however, because one of my plates arrived with a hair in it. I fully understand that these accidents can happen, but at a restaurant like this, these incidents are particularly annoying. Overall, a great experience.
