Osteria Strehler was truly a wonderful discovery. The dishes are all typical Friulian cuisine. We ordered the gnocchi with goulash, the pappardelle with sausage and arugula, and the cured meats with Friulian cheese—all excellent. Thanks to Adriana, who runs the dining room, and to Rino, who works behind the scenes. We'll gladly return on our next trip to Trieste.

What an AMAZING place!
We were looking for a place with traditional Friulian cuisine and stumbled upon this steep alley, where we were welcomed by the owner on a calm, overcast day. We had an incredible frico, goulash, and a pork specialty with cheese sauce.
Affordable, simple, and incredibly tasty.

I drove all the way from Pordenone to there, and I'd go back a thousand times. We ate very well, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was clean and quiet. I recommend it to everyone.

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday.
I ate very well, and the lady, despite being alone, was very efficient, kind, and intuitive. She understood that three people had ordered three different dishes to try a bit of everything, and... Without even batting an eyelid, the lady immediately brought three empty plates for us to serve ourselves.
The food was good and recommended for those who want to eat typical Trieste cuisine.
You can pay by debit card; there are no architectural barriers.
A nice, rustic place, a little out of the way, but excellent for that!
Also recommended for its excellent value.

Behind the Politeama Rossetti, Hostaria Strehler has always satisfied me during each of my visits.
Generous portions, good proposals on the menu and very kind and efficient staff.

Sono andato più volte e non sbagliano un colpo.
Menù composto da poche scelte , per la maggior di 'terra' , tutte molto buono.

Abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare un tavolo in questo grazioso locale, provando i piatti tipici della zona. Le porzioni sono molto generose ed è tutto buonissimo. La signora è veramente gentile!
