My family and I went on Saturday evening to have dinner at the "Hostaria Ducale" inn in Genoa (it was also our wedding anniversary). We were welcomed by the precious waitress Alessia who patiently and extremely kindly explained all the dishes to us. I must say that I have rarely had the opportunity to taste such good dishes. It was a fantastic experience both for the precious search for food and for the mise en place. The work team and the chef truly deserve three Michelin stars! The prescinseua and pink prawn ravioli, the gabilo with coconut (the Chef will excuse me for how I express myself::) the milk dessert and the passion fruit "lollipop" are simply DIVINE! I recommend it to those who don't just want to eat , but to those who want to ENJOY dishes that are true sensorial and gustatory EXPERIENCES. Thank you, really thank you, to the whole team and the Chef!

A very pleasant surprise. Friendly place proposing ligurian cuisine revisited in a contemporary key. On a side street just off the Piazza De Ferrari and practically in the Palazzo Ducale.

Una piacevole sorpresa a Genova. Non ce lo aspettavamo! Gli antipasti, il primo ed il dolce erano molto buoni. Ho ordinato ravioli con gamberetti e lei ha ordinato il tonno in capponadda. Dopo l'antipasto e prima della prima portata c'era sempre l'antipasto e dopo ne veniva servito anche uno. Per dessert ho chiesto del latte dolce fritto e lei ha ordinato banana, pistacchio e cioccolato . Il servizio è stato molto buono senza essere invasivo. Ritorneremo sicuramente la prossima volta.

One Sunday we decided to try a place that had been highly recommended to us and we discovered a real pearl. Hostaria Ducale is a charming and high-class venue having been created from what was previously an art gallery, the staff who manage the rooms are young, very competent, polite and kind and no less fast. ...the food was truly the surprise of the day. ..ingredients of excellent quality and what about the mastery of chef Daniele Rebosio? The ability to combine tradition and innovation in a fusion of flavors where there is a perfect balance and where the flavors are distinct and perfectly mixed is simply sublime. Without words. Perfect value for money for what it offers in terms of food and wine. Also perfect for business lunches Congratulations to all guys!! Highly recommended!!

It has been 16 months since we have been here and we enjoyed the restaurant even more this time. The wait staff works professionally and cordially. The breads and our dessert were spectacular. The wine list is thoughtful and it gave us a chance to try a new (for us) Rose' , a category that is only beginning to gain some respect in Italy now.
As a couple, we ordered a la carte and got to try six creative and interesting dishes. Please take this as constructive criticism; in four of the six dishes we could taste too much salt, not enough to completely ruin the dish, but enough to cause some dismay. I didn't mention it at the time, but most of the dishes would have been outstanding without the added health hazard. Perhaps some of the ingredients already contained the heavy sodium. I sometimes think there might be a smoker in the kitchen when this happens, but this menu is too important to be compromised.
We will come back, and we will be interested in their response. We wish them well and are prepared to recommend them to our friends.
