We stumbled upon it while searching for the pyramid, and the real discovery was finding this restaurant. The food was delicious...the toneroli cacio e pepe was amazing, and the atmosphere was special. 100% recommended.

Small place with just a few tables inside. We went for lunch and had pasta alla gricia, sausage and chicory, and oxtail stew. Good food at a good price. The place and restrooms were clean. We'll be back.

This dinner happened kind of spontaneously — I just decided to treat myself with the bonus I recently got from a website (you can see it in the photo). Cozy place, great food, everything made with care. A nice spot to sit back, relax, and feel that the evening turned out great.

The food was excellent — perfectly cooked with a balanced taste, you can tell the chef knows what they’re doing. I also used the service shown in the photo to count the calories — and it turned out to be super convenient! I totally recommend it to anyone keeping an eye on their diet. It really helps to stay in shape.

Great food. We started with bruschetta, then had the Carbonara and braised oxtail, finished with tiramisu. The Carbonara was decent. I wouldn't call it the world beater like some other had said. The oxtail was very tender and tasty. The tiramisu was also very good.

I recommend it 100%!!! Delicious food!!! I recommend anyone staying in the Roma Ostiense area to stop by and try the delicious dishes of traditional Roman cuisine!!! The service is very nice and friendly.

31/01/2026: Nice place and good food, but this is the second time I've gone and left the restaurant with the smell of fried food clinging to my hair and clothes, horrible. Too bad, I would have gone back, but leaving smelling of fried food is a no-go.
06/01/2026: We visited this restaurant for the first time last night. From the appetizers to the main courses, including the meat and pizza, everything was delicious and reasonably priced, with no complaints about the quality of the food. Unfortunately, however, once we left, we immediately noticed a strong cooking odor permeating our clothes, which was confirmed this morning when the smell in the house was reminiscent of a deli. At this point, I'm wondering how they don't have adequate ventilation. I'll have to take my jackets to the dry cleaners, and for this reason, I'll hardly return to this restaurant.

30/01/2026: Always perfect. We visit this charming place from time to time for over 10 years. And it is always perfect: the quality, the presentation, the tradition, the creativity, the atmosphere, the service, the local wine selection. Rome is not Rome for us without Apuleius.
09/01/2026: This is a special restaurant that I was so delighted to have found. It’s in a quiet part of the Aventine Hill and I was nearby to take a walk in the Giardino degli Aranci. When I arrived, towards the end of lunch service the restaurant was full, I believe with a large family gathering but the staff politely explained that I could take a seat in a slightly quieter and more private part of the dining room, which was ideal for me as a solo diner. The menu and local wine were explained to me in patient detail. The service was faultless and the food was delicious. I had the zucchini flowers, the Gnocchi alla Romana, and the ‘almost’ tiramisu. Every bite was unique and memorable and this was one of my favourite meals, ever. I chose a local sparkling, red and then dessert wine to have with each course and these were also incredibly good. Grazie team for such a fond memory. I will be back!
