23/08/2024: Super satisfied! Delicious dishes and 5* view
16/08/2024: Eager to try new dishes, we wanted to try this restaurant tonight; when deciding where to have dinner we were convinced by the photos of the interior and its menu, rather short but with some interesting dishes.
Upon our arrival the room appears large, clean and bright, with air conditioning and a pleasant window overlooking the sea; I must say that our table neighbors, positioned right under the air conditioner, were not as happy with the fresh air that arrived.
Very attentive, quick and professional waiters; the older one was also nice and sociable, he stopped at our table several times to have a chat.
Given the prices, rather above the average of the places in the area, we limited ourselves to ordering two first courses and a mixed grill to share; my partner took the Scialatielli with Gambero Rosso, Datterino tomatoes and Pistachio Cream while I ordered the Busiate with Ombrina and Eggplant Cream.
Regarding the Scialatielli I would say that they are among the best I have ever eaten, a symphony of aromas that bring out the flavor of the Prawns to the maximum, although I must say that I did not perceive the contribution of the Pistachio Cream in the slightest.
Opposite opinion for my Busiate, immersed in a grey-greenish cream with an indefinable flavour, lacking in salt, with tasteless and annoying threads of fried peel and without any piece of Umbrina; I was tempted to ask the waiter if the chef had forgotten it.
Moving on to the grill, I must say that all the fish was fresh and of good quality but given the price I expected something more.
As for the dessert, the Cannolo Scomposto with Ricotta marinated in Citrus fruits which had made me so fond of reading the menu, was not available due to a lack of Ricotta.
Regarding the place I must say that the presence of the large aquarium inside is both a curse and a delight, being very beautiful to look at but creating a constant coming and going of excited children who continually run from their table to contemplate it
Personally, when I leave the table full and satisfied, I don't give too much weight to the bill but in this context I regretted the choice a bit, having spent 86 euros to leave the table dissatisfied and still feeling peckish in my stomach; It was interesting to try it but I really don't think I will go back if the prices and dishes offered are these.
