We visited in April and I haven't stopped thinking about it since (it's November). If you have the time, please visit as you won't be disappointed - it's worth the queue! The servers were lovely and very quick, it was warm and inviting & the food was delicious. I was craving pesto pasta (was pregnant at the time) and it is the nicest I've ever had. Fantastic place, my favourite restaurant in Sorrento!!

This place is welcoming and warm, for a quick stop in for an espresso, or a terrific sit-down brunch. The owners greeted us and were very accommodating throughout or meal. The local tomato & greens salad was my standout surprise; the local tomatoes are so juicy and sweet, the greens were refreshing, not bitter, and the light olive oil dressing is simple and citrusy. The owner cooked our tomato soup from scratch per order, the Italian sausage blossomed in the mouth with a uniquely complex flavor, and the eggplant parmigiana is the only one my wife has ever had that was better than her own. This was a perfect lunch for us.

I thought it would be very "touristy" but it was an excellent dinner, the only shame was that it was cold because the table where we were sitting was outside.

In the sea of Italian restaurants that occupy Sorrento, look no further than Azz! Truly the best pasta Genovese and tagliatelle porcini we have ever had anywhere in the world. Excellent ingredients and perfectly cooked pasta. We slowed down more than ever to enjoy each bite.
Get the local red wine, a couple pastas, and anything else—you will not be disappointed. We wish we could go again—it was a perfect last meal in Sorrento

Excellent food. This place had a few more meat options, which was a nice surprise. Everything we had was wonderful. Service was great, friendly and restaurant clientele was also super friendly. Definitely would recommend to others. We had T-bone steak and lamb chops.

Wandering along Corso Italia trying to decide among the numerous eateries, I was attracted by the cute signs (in English) on some tables, my fave being "If you're in a hurry, you're in the wrong place." My dining philosophy exactly. I had gnocchi all sorrentina and a glass of red table wine. The portion of wine was, as another sign said, generous. The wine - a Primitivo di Manduria - was outstanding: velvety smooth, warm, full-bodied. The gnocchi was 'divino'. The staff (and Nino) were so nice I felt like I was eating dinner at a friend's house - but none of my friends could possibly make such good food. So good that I dined there every day of my 5 days in Sorrento, except, sadly, their day off. I had the gnocchi again, also the cannelloni al forno and the tiramisu. Mangiare in paradiso! I solved the queue problem by moving my dinner hour to 5 pm, just before they start to fill up. This was my first stay in Sorrento, and I have many good memories, but what I will miss most is my meals at Taverna Azz!
