Amazing place, lake view from the restaurant terrace, excellent food

Castel di Tora, a rural watercolor; in this setting, among the romantic medieval alleys, you unexpectedly come across a narrow alleyway, lined with ancient doors and at the end, "L'Osteria di Bacco." A home restaurant, a "miniature restaurant," very well-kept, clean, delightfully decorated, and welcoming; the owners' passion for the culinary arts and attention to local products infuse every course, simple, flavorful, authentic, and therefore comforting. These dishes reveal the hand of a "home" cook, a bearer of family traditions and certainties, who has modernized the recipes, giving them a much-appreciated lightness, without sacrificing flavor. I've frequented the osteria several times since it opened, and my friends are equally satisfied. I recommend it for a two-hour experience of significant satisfaction and relaxation.

We stayed in this beautiful and meticulously maintained village. Castel di Tora is a little gem nestled in the middle of Lake Turano! We had spotted Osteria di Bacco and booked ahead of time among those available. We were delighted to find everything we expected. Located among the alleys of the upper village, a descending staircase leads to the entrance. It has a unique atmosphere, not many tables, but they're well-arranged, which we think makes the most of the limited space. The kitchen is open to the public, and you can watch the hosts prepare the dishes! There's also a small terrace with a wonderful view, certainly enjoyable during the day, but we enjoyed it during the full moon with its September eclipse. The menu isn't terribly varied, but just right. After all, being a home restaurant, that's to be expected, because that little bit is simply delicious! We ordered an appetizer, which arrived almost immediately, beautifully presented, with delicious cold cuts, cheeses, frittata, and vegetables. The ricotta with honey and walnuts was delicious! For our first course, we had casarecce pasta with cherry tomatoes and burrata, and tonnarelli alla gricia with truffle—spectacular! Our second course was the wonderful lamb chops—a delight! A good glass of red wine, and we had a wonderful evening! The service was quick and courteous, and the owners were very friendly. We had a lovely chat at the end of the evening! Highly recommended, we must return, but during the day!

By chance, asking a local girl, we discovered this little gem nestled in the center of town. A small staircase leads you to a truly charming restaurant with a wonderful terrace overlooking the lake, truly breathtaking. The welcome is one that makes you feel at home, yet very professional. The cuisine is excellent, with quality products and exquisite cheeses, the kind that leave the best memories. The first courses are all to be savored, as are the desserts. The artisanal products are well-prepared, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. What can I say? Well done, because with your work you contribute to upholding the town's reputation, leaving tourists with wonderful memories. Thanks to all the staff, we'll be back soon.

I recommend everyone to go. I went with some friends...we had a bit of a wait for a table, but only because we didn't have a reservation. The owners, Isaura and her husband, were so kind in finding us a seat, one of the best, too. They have a veranda with a view, stunning. The food is nothing short of excellent. Ho avuto modo di pranzare in questo ristorante con i soliti compagni di merenda, invogliato dalle buone recensioni, restandone non molto soddisfatto. La location è molto piccola con una bellissima e terrazza sul Lago di Turano, che è l'aspetto migliore del ristorante. La struttura è a condizione familiare con un cucina a vista che sembra la cucina di casa per come è minuta. Abbiamo ordinato un antipasto di affettati di buona qualità, quindi avremmo voluto ordinare i gnocchi ma non sono più disponibili anche se ancora descritti nel menù, quindi abbiamo ordinato tonnarelli con gricia e tartufo e una pasta pomodori e bottarga, devo dire entrambi senza infamia d senza lode, pasta non fatta in casa che mancava di gusto. Poi abbiamo preso per secondi costolette di agnello indorate e fritte con carne un po dura e poco apprezzata e scamorza noci e miele di discreta qualità. Quindi siamo passati a dolce, purtroppo mancava la zuppa inglese anche se sul menu era presente, allora abbiamo preso un tiramisù di buona qualità. Il personale per essere un'osteria a conduzione familiare mi è sembrato abbastanza distaccato e il conto un po' caro per il tipo di struttura. Sinceramente, mi ha un po' deluso, perche mancavano diverse portate del menù e quelle che c'erano non ci hanno particolarmente entusiasmato. Comunque, obbiettivamente la terrazza sul lago è assolutamente il migliore pregio del ristorante. Non ci ritornerei

In un paesino così piccolo non c'è molta scelta per cui sono rimasta molto sorpresa che tutto andasse bene. C'è la cucina open dove si prepara a vista e all' istante. Il servizio è stato celere, abbiamo mangiato bene, materia prima buona, terrazzino vista lago. Prezzi onesti.
