For years, I've been coming to the Sacred Island of Marettimo for at least a week in June. I thought I'd tried every restaurant on the island, but I was wrong. Recommended by a friend, I landed in Signora Maria's kitchen without imagining such beauty. It was a journey through time, an immersion in the island's culinary aromas and flavors. Signora Maria is a woman from another era. She arrives quietly with a notebook and a pen and begins to describe the evening's various courses. Unhurriedly and with emotion, she discusses the first courses and appetizers as if they were her children or grandchildren. They are her creations, all inspired by the fusion of the island's land and sea flavors. It was a true culinary experience, and I give it a very high rating because, in addition to having eaten very well during the evening, I also experienced the true tradition of Sicilian flavors. It was my first time visiting this hidden, private corner of Marettimo after years of frequenting it. Thank you, Maria, for this gift.

Very chaotic billing. The food was partly good and partly average. We were a group of 15. The white wine was changed three times for seven bottles of wine because apparently there wasn't enough in stock?... I wouldn't necessarily return.

Exceptional experience. We ate here with a group and what can I say... an excellent lunch, and Maria was simply wonderful. A lovely woman runs the whole restaurant by herself. You should know that about half of the dishes listed on the menu were not actually available. However, she cooks according to what she has in stock, which is also a positive point. As a starter, we shared a delicious warm eggplant dish. Then we had one seafood spaghetti and one Sicilian spaghetti. Both were very tasty and the portions were generous. For dessert, we had a lemon cake and a cannolo. We also drank one bottle of water. The food was delicious, but in my opinion it was too expensive: we paid €70.50. That’s why I’m giving 4 stars. Also, I wouldn’t recommend it if you are looking for quick service or want to eat quickly.
