14/06/2024: It is a trattoria, rather than a restaurant where you are welcomed with kindness, courtesy and smiles. Two of us entered about an hour after closing time for lunch and were welcomed without time limits. If you are looking for a restaurant with effect and luxury, it is not La Campagnola; but if you are looking for gastronomic goodness, both pizza and cooking, then this is for you. The boiled meats have delicious aromas and flavours, they are cooked on set days and possibly on request. The gnocchi with chicken sauce are very tasty. The thin crust pizzas are large and well "stuffed". Then the kindness, the care for the traveler who has just arrived, the smiles and courtesy, everything makes the Campagnola a pleasant encounter. It may not be a Michelin guide, but write it down in your diary... a visit after a visit to the Sant'Alessio Oasis is worth it.
