From the hiking car park, above Jenesien, this beautiful hut can be reached in about 1.5 hours via an absolutely unique landscape hike (free-roaming Haflingers, cows and a legendary trail). Food and service are perfect! During the circular hike you will be rewarded with a beautiful view of the Dolomites

A very nice alpine pasture, I come by twice a year. The food is simply great, the schlutzer as well as the liver dumplings and the surf meat with cabbage are tip top. U don't forget the delicious cakes. Come again

We took a break here after a hike and had a delicious meal! Kaiserschmarrn - more than great! Schlutzkrapfen - delicious! Likewise the homemade tagliatelle with chanterelles! The service team is quick and very friendly - we are happy to give it 5 🌟

Hofer Alpl

03/11/2024: With a group of friends we spent a wonderful New Year's Eve at the Hofer Alpl hut: quality food, very kind staff, very suggestive atmosphere and some nice unscheduled surprises. Rabbit this place also throughout the year to take a nice trip to the mountains. Don't miss the splendid view from the terrace!
31/10/2024: Sensational South Tyrolean dishes, served by extremely friendly staff! There is also a wonderful view of the valley from Völs down to Bolzano.

06/12/2024: Very high quality/price ratio! Friendly service, with timely suggestions on food and drink to go with it. Fantastic spinach and cheese crescents, goat's cheese, honey and walnut pie that is truly worth it! Considering the prices in the area and the quality of the service offered, I put the Mainardo restaurant at the top of my recommendations!
05/12/2024: Typical quality cuisine, excellent raw materials, generous portions. Very kind and welcoming staff. Excellent quality/price ratio. Absolutely worth trying if you are in Merano.
