Restaurant located in a beautiful medieval village Sacrofano. I had a great time both because of the truly excellent food and because of the hospitality and kindness of the staff.

Family run tavern. Particularly low prices and therefore very popular with residents. The quality is therefore adequate for the cost-effectiveness of the proposal. The owner is very nice and her "rusticity" is engaging and puts you in a good mood

Five stars for this small family-run restaurant. Excellent food and friendly staff. Our two children were also happy. Greetings to the owner (our waitress who told us the history of their restaurant).

Perfect place for those who love local food in a familiar and not at all distracting environment. You can choose starters, first or second courses with the certainty of leaving the table full and satisfied. The price is more than adequate for the quality and one course will easily fill you up; the second serves to satisfy the gluttony...

More than a lunch, an experience. Fantastic place located in the historic center of Rieti. Typical menu based on local products and recipes. Family condition of commendable sympathy and spirit. Very honest prices and very high quality! The coffee with the mocha made by Silvia is special.

Recommended by locals, a pleasant surprise. Excellent first course with a strong flavour, Sabine style fregnacce, with homemade pasta. Homemade tart. Cristina who served us was very friendly, always available and attentive. Excellent quality/price ratio. Compliments to the kitchen. Open only for lunch. We will certainly return to visit Rieti and its surroundings further

Simple and quiet place, the friendly and conversational owner suggests the dishes of the day, simple and well prepared, mixed Italian appetizer, homemade frignacce with superlative tomato, mushroom and olive sauce, second course steak cooked to the right point, tasty and in the right proportion with a choice of side dish between baked potatoes and sautéed chicory, really good. The friendliness is the backdrop to a price that is truly, in my opinion obviously, negligible, 20 euros per person... What else?

Buono, ma consiglio vivamente un menù scritto , anche in foglio a mano, ma avevo voglia di cose che non mi sono state dette e poi sono arrivate ad altri. Cordialità e prezzi onestissimi.

18/12/2024: Very "camouflaged" place... Once inside the surprises begin.... It feels like being inside a beautiful 1930s French bistro.... The recipes, particularly tasty, should all be tried. The price is really convenient.... The staff is extremely friendly and competent.... Absolutely worth trying!!!!
30/11/2024: This is a ridiculously fantastic restaurant. Top notch, with imaginative dishes that you might think on paper won't work, but then they do. If that kitchen were in a Rome, London or New York, they would be celerbrities. I have lived in Italy off and on over the past 40 years, and I can confidently say this is one of the best restaurants in the center of the country, including Rome. And that's a big statement. The prices are also embarrassingly low. My wife calls it her happy place. I couldn't recommend it more highly.

La Locanda del Poeta

26/12/2024: Very good food. Unfortunately, our table was adjacent to the walls of the veranda, which are plastic-coated and let in freezing drafts (-2° outside). The generator could not be directed towards us because it was "too hot" and so as not to disturb the next table :( In the center of the room there was a table for 4 (we were 3) away from drafts, heated by the direction of the generator, but no one thought/suggested we move there, even though we complained about the cold. On leaving we were given a bottle of wine, a very nice and appreciated gesture, very good food (I recommend the cheek), courteous service, unfortunately a person sensitive to the cold and this affected my experience.
22/12/2024: I was here today with my partner for lunch. The place is wonderful, surrounded by greenery with a beautiful artificial lake in front of the restaurant. Suggestive and very chill. We were immediately welcomed warmly and even though we were a little early they let us sit. The staff was friendly,smiling and helpful. We were served by Francesca, a smiling and attentive girl in her service. The food was excellent, everything was delicious and the portions were just right (neither minimal nor exaggerated). The right price for what we ate, the quality of the food and the place. We also had the opportunity to meet the owner and chef, an easy-going person, very friendly and smiling too. We had a great time and will definitely be back...in addition to the plan to celebrate our wedding in this location. Thank you "Locanda del poet" for the beautiful and delicious experience.
