Just returned from Chianciano, where I stayed at the hotel; a stately structure, slightly dated on the outside but with a retro feel inside. Its strong points are definitely its location, and of course, the spa inside, with good service. If I really have to find a flaw, it's not the hotel, but Chianciano itself, where I found many of the businesses practically bankrupt. I think COVID has left an indelible mark on this spa town. Otherwise, everything was fine: the temperatures, relaxation, and food. 👍🏼

The area is completely dull, the hotel is older but well-maintained. The service and food are truly excellent, and the staff, especially the restaurant staff, are friendly.

A structure that is certainly dated but well-kept, among other things one of the few that remain open in Chianciano. I had already visited the city about 10 years ago, I returned to a completely different place, almost abandoned, with many closed hotels and very few people around for having been there the first weekend of July.
The hotel is in an excellent position, with the added value of an internal spa with 2 swimming pools, one of which is also accessible to children until 4:30 pm. Plus an outdoor swimming pool.
The floors of the rooms do not hide their age, even if some of them have also been renovated. Certainly comfortable in terms of size, and always clean in any case, which is very important. For the bathroom, a little maintenance would not hurt, but equally always clean and with everything available.
Great credit also goes to the restaurant and its excellent staff who, unlike the reception where if you are lucky they greet you, can boast all attentive, present, helpful and very kind employees. The food is also good, both in the rich breakfast buffet and in the main meals where if you need changes to the menu they can accommodate you and they do it willingly and with a smile.
Structure absolutely in line with the price, we spent a happy weekend.

I stayed 10 days in this hotel unfortunately I was given a horrible room that overlooked the parking lot (204), even though many rooms were free, the spa is excellent as is the cuisine with special dishes even if repetitive. Very professional and helpful dining room staff, especially Davide and Pietro. Not very communicative on the other hand the reception staff not at all empathetic.

Hotel inserito in un parco ben tenuto e molto tranquillo, con possibilità di cure termali presso un centro che offre numerose proposte. L'edificio che ospita l'hotel sebbene datato è tenuto in maniera ottimale, sala colazione e pasti di grandi dimensioni. Il personale è competente e molto molto disponibile, in sintesi una vacanza rilassante senza alcun problema. Colazione ricca con prodotti di buona qualità. Pranzo e cena con menù ridotti ma con prezzi molto convenienti e serviti con cura e cucinati in maniera delicata.

A relaxing and regenerating stay at the Gran Hotel Terme di Chianciano, which certainly deserves a special mention!
The hotel has a slightly retro charm: you can see that it could use a refresh here and there, but it is kept with great care and cleanliness. The real gem? The spa: a true paradise of well-being! Large, clean, relaxing... you forget about the world outside.
The service is excellent, impeccable from every point of view.
A heartfelt thanks goes to the very kind director Monia, always present and attentive, a true professional with a sincere smile.
Simone, always available and ready to solve every need with courtesy.
And how can we forget Stanislao, the friendliest and most brilliant barman in Tuscany! His bitters are memorable. His company? Even better!
Dinner was an experience to be enjoyed slowly: delicious dishes, well presented and with quality ingredients. A refined and generous cuisine, just as you would hope to find in a hotel of this level.
In short, a structure with a soul, where people really make the difference. If you are looking for relaxation, good food and a warm welcome, this is the right place.
With a few more touches of modernity, it could really become a pearl!

A regenerating stay with a 5-star welcome
We spent a few days at the Grand Hotel Terme di Chianciano and, although the structure has some features that reflect the charm of the past, what really makes the difference is the quality of the service and the exceptional human warmth of the staff.
A special praise goes to Monia and Simone, who made us feel more than just customers: they welcomed us as guests, with genuine kindness, constant availability and rare professionalism. The care they dedicate to every detail of the experience makes this hotel a place where you feel pampered, understood and fully relaxed.
In short: the location may have a slightly retro style, but the level of service, the dedication of the people and the atmosphere you breathe are fully worth the 5 stars. We will definitely be back!

Ambiente lussuoso e raffinato, come fine 800 inizio 900 quando questi hotel erano frequentati da nobili che frequentavano le terme a pochi passi dall'hotel.
Camera pulita ed ordinata, non proprio grande ma a un prezzo più che competitivo.
Bagno completo e pulito
Personale sempre disponibile e gentile
Ristorante con pochi piatti ma buoni (orecchiette con rape e acciughe, baccalà alla vicentina) ed a un orizzontale onestissimo.

The dining room staff was super friendly and always helpful, the breakfast was super plentiful, with lots of choice. The best part was undoubtedly the spa, with pools and saunas: perfect for relaxing after visiting the city. Special thanks to the director Francesco and the dining room manager Alfonso for their hospitality and availability. We will be back!
