We had pizza here recently and it was overall an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is centrally located in Porto Empedocle and has a relatively spartan and reduced interior, with some seating outside on the street too. We ordered the Marinara (mixed seafood) and the Buffalina (cherry tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella). Both pizzas arrived quickly and were tasty. The Buffalina was slightly better in my view than the Marinara and substantially cheaper but the Marinara was nice too (a tiny bit too cheese-heavy for my taste but that’s personal preference) and I didn’t regret my choice. The service is friendly and the prices are fair.

The pizza was good, the second day the pasta dish was good but disappointing because I was sold penne and I got tagliatelle. I was taken for a tourist. Lol. The service was a little chaotic, they seemed lost...

06/06/2025: I don't know where to start. I can only say FANTASTIC! The meat was cooked to perfection, juicy and above all DELICIOUS. My friends and I chose to take a mixed meat platter and look at the show. NOTHING TO SAY BUT COMPLIMENTS!
30/05/2025: We have come several times to this place that allows you to choose directly at the counter the type of meat you want and the weight, I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat quality meat. The staff is always friendly and easy-going and the location offers various seating. On the balcony you can also choose the side dish between potatoes, salad, fried bread with egg etc. I would add the possibility of choosing your own dish from a paper menu and even more side dishes.

26/06/2025: Osteria Il Commensale is a true insider tip that immediately captivated us with its charm. The ambiance is small and sweet, cozy, and perfect for an intimate evening. It felt like a true immersion in the Italian way of life, especially since we were able to enjoy our dinner in an Italian alleyway – an unforgettable experience! But let's get to the most important thing: the food. Without exaggeration, the meal was a delight for the palate! Every dish was full of flavor and prepared with love. It's obvious that the food is cooked with passion and uses fresh, high-quality ingredients. The only minor drawback was that the service could be better. While the staff was friendly, there were times when we felt a bit forgotten. This didn't significantly detract from the overall experience, but there is definitely room for improvement. Nevertheless: If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in a charming setting and can overlook minor service glitches, you should definitely visit Osteria Il Commensale. The food alone is worth the visit!
20/06/2025: Easy going place with very friendly staff. Menu and prices, so no surprises. The food was excellent for a reasonable price. We got the leftovers nicely wrapped, so perfectly ok portions.
