Historic Lecco restaurant. The location is nice but needs to be revisited a bit. Very kind staff. Good and tasty lake food.

Trattoria with home-made cuisine, like the one in the past! Excellent value for money.

Imagine going back to the 60s, this is the feeling I had when I went to this trattoria located in the upper part of Lecco. We had dinner outside under a delightful pergola. The menu is varied and very local, we took "TAGLIOLINI AL RAGU", a truly delicious ragù, reminiscent of grandma's, and "RABBIT WITH POLENTA", very tasty. Really low bill, beautiful atmosphere, quick and friendly service. Definitely coming back!

I've been going there since I was little... first with my family, now with friends or work colleagues... it offers fixed price menus for lunch... in the evening I don't know... you can eat typical Lombard dishes... if there is 'It's something special, they put it on the blackboard outside in the summer for example fried frogs... I can't comment on the inside as I go there during the summer where you can sit outside and stay cool... I recommend it...

Recommended by a work colleague we had dinner at this restaurant. Called a trattoria, you would expect portions worthy of the name, but instead they are quite poor considering the prices. We spent €90 of which €16 of Lugana, two starters, two second courses, two desserts, two coffees (we left hungry). Friendly and helpful staff. The service was slow, the starters waited an abundant 30 minutes

Wir hatten das Glück, dass die Trattoria direkt gegenüber vom Haus gelegen war, in welchem wir für eine Woche wohnten. Naheliegend, dass wir dort zum Essen einkehren würden. Service: Die Dame im Service war sehr freundlich und um unser Wohl bemüht. Auch der Umgang mit den Kindern war freundlich aber zurückhalten. Sehr angenehmes Auftreten. Unsere 1-2 Verständnis-Fragen zum Essen wurden geduldig beantwortet. Die verschiedenen Gerichte kamen recht zeitnah und sehr offensichtlich frisch zubereitet aus der Küche bei uns an. - 5/5 Essen: Sowohl mein erster Gang (Ravioli mit Fleischfüllung) als auch der zweite Gang (Rinderscheiben) waren wirklich große Klasse. Die Soße zu den Ravioli war eine Wucht und ich konnte nicht anders als den Rest mit Brot aufzuessen. Die Rinderscheiben medium waren auf den Punkt gebraten und mit wenig Zutaten (Öl und Pfeffer) wahnsinnig gut gelungen. Ich war danach glücklich. - 5/5 Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Die Preise für die Gerichte sind für die Gegend um Lecco leicht unterdurchschnittlich. Bei der gebotenen Qualität also auch preislich absolut einen Besuch wert. - 5/5 Fazit: Je nachdem wo man sich in Lecco befindet, liegt das Restaurant nicht unbedingt nahe am Zentrum. Ich kann trotzdem nur jedem empfehlen den Weg zu machen. Nicht nur bekommt man in der "Trattoria Canto Giovanella" großartiges Essen, sondern im Gebäude kann man noch Geschichte atmen. Die Inneneinrichtung wirkt als wäre man mit Eintreten ins Gebäude eine kleine Zeitreise angetreten. Volle Punktzahl! - 5/5

Tipica trattoria di una volta, servizio veloce e personale molto cordiale e disponibile. Piatti tipici della tradizione, molto buoni, una zuppa di cipolle molto delicata. Prezzo coerente. È stato un vero e proprio tuffo nel passato, consigliatissimo, da provare. Noi ci torneremo sicuramente.
