On Saturday evening, there were four of us at a pizzeria. We ordered two gourmet pizzas and two classic ones. Everything was excellent, with the special dough being the citrus one. The ingredients were top-quality, with the right amount of toppings and just the right amount, almost excessive. Electric oven? It's not particularly popular, but in this case, we didn't notice any difference, so much so that we changed our minds about eating exclusively in a wood/gas oven. Highly recommended and highly recommended. The service? Friendly and courteous.

A pleasant evening among old friends. The large, airy space allowed us to chat peacefully, without being crowded at neighboring tables, thus maintaining a certain level of privacy. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The pizzas were ordered and served promptly, were of excellent quality, and were also delicious and original, like the meat pizza cooked at the table. The only drawback is that the place is located on a side street off the renowned Via Mazzitelli in Bari's new Poggiofranco neighborhood, but it's difficult to find due to the lack of proper signage. The dessert was delicious, the highlight of which is that it's artisanal and prepared on-site.

Like a palette of colors, Giotto pizzeria interprets its cuisine with creativity and professional rigor. Every offering, from appetizers to pizzas, is a visual explosion that previews a carefully crafted balance of flavors. The service is attentive, courteous, and always available. Among the appetizers, the trio of meatballs stands out: the enveloping carbocrema, the classic comforting sauce, and the natural version with arugula, cherry tomatoes, and parmesan, a play of contrasts that tantalizes the palate. Also not to be missed is the trio of montanarine, made with a double-cooked dough (steamed/fried): mortadella, stracciatella, and pistachio pesto; buffalo mozzarella and Parma ham; broccoli rabe and fresh sausage. A delicious and well-balanced selection. Among the first courses, the tubettini alla tarantina and the paccheri with seafood are undeniably convincing, an expression of a cuisine that knows how to be generous but never excessive. Choosing a pizza is a challenge: only multiple visits can truly convey the breadth of the offerings. La Glicine surprises with its harmonious blend of mozzarella, green apple, pancetta, gorgonzola, and pepper. La Scarlatto captivates with its personality and structure, with a beer-must dough and a complex yet well-orchestrated topping: fior di latte, gorgonzola, pancetta, caramelized tomato, smoked stracciatella, and chopped hazelnuts. The artichokes, ricotta, and capocollo are also elegant and refined, a true touch of class. An experience that invites you to return, deserving of recognition for the entire organization: from the kitchen to the dining room, and even the attentive and attentive attention of the owners.

It's unacceptable to book at 10:30 PM and sit down at 11:30 PM...an hour of standing outside in the cold. Poor reservation management and disrespect. Very pushy staff who make you feel almost "at fault" if you don't order spritzes, appetizers, main courses, pizzas, liqueurs, anything and everything just to maximize your profit. At a certain point in the evening (12:18 AM and still no pizza in sight), a bothersome burning smell was noticeable. 12:29 AM. Complaints from my fellow diners were accompanied by an unpleasant special visit: a shady gentleman harassed us in an illicit attempt to sell roses. Excellent pizzas otherwise. If they improved their management, they could call it an excellent pizzeria.

Excellent confirmation: an impeccable experience at Pizzeria Giotto. This is my second visit to Giotto, and I can confidently say it's one of those places where quality, hospitality, and attention to detail blend seamlessly. The restaurant is modern yet warm, well-maintained and spotlessly clean, with a relaxed atmosphere that makes the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was extremely friendly, attentive but never intrusive, ready to offer advice and ensure the evening ran smoothly and without any waiting. The pizza is the real highlight: soft yet well-cooked dough, light and easy to digest. The toppings are top-quality, fresh, and well-balanced. You can taste the care and passion in every bite. Great credit also goes to the service: perfect timing, genuine smiles, and unwavering professionalism. It's rare to find a pizzeria that manages to combine quality food, ambiance, and service so well. I will definitely return and recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying and flawless dining experience. Note: Experiences lived on Saturday evenings with table reservations.

06/01/2026: In this place, it seems as if time has stood still. Even the prices are stuck in the '80s. The food, the dishes, and the decor are impressive. You feel the passage of time, but the quality of the food and the personality of the place will stay with you, involving you in a high-quality culinary experience. Don't come if you're looking for, or expecting, something chic. Here, you'll find it. The tradition and affection of old-fashioned owners...who, reluctantly, can't allow the present to trample on the past. Delicious meat...We're in Sammichele, traditional first courses...excellent cured meats, comfortable location.
19/12/2025: The first course is excellent, especially the capunti with mushrooms, sausage and truffle cream.

19/01/2026: Finally, a pizzeria offering something different: pizzas made with quality ingredients, tasty and well-cooked. The flavors are all distinctive, and the dough is excellent and easy to digest. The beverage selection is good, from wines to craft beers, and even more commercial beers for those who don't want to break the bank on pizza. The Nutella pizza, which was kindly offered to us, was excellent. The desserts are delicious, especially the homemade liqueurs. The staff is very kind and friendly.
