Very Venetian, behind the university area architecture in the port

My wife and I stayed just around the corner from Giorai, so it was an easy meal for our 1st night in Venice. The pizza was good but the gnocchi was just ok. The price for the food and drinks was good. The staff were friendly. Seemed busy with lots of people coming in for to-go pizza or delivery.

I ordered a lasagna and my boyfriend a pizza, and honestly, everything was delicious! We came from Argentina wanting to eat something really tasty, and this place was very "Italian" and delicious.

The restaurant is located in a non-touristy area of ​​Venice and is frequented primarily by local Venetians and university students. The staff is extremely friendly, always available, and quick with service, creating a simple and pleasant atmosphere. We tried both the pasta dishes and the pizza, and in both cases the quality was excellent: good ingredients, generous portions, and well-balanced flavors. The value for money is exceptional. In short, Giorai is a place you'll happily return to, without frills, but with the certainty of truly delicious food.

The owner or employee was friendly, but constantly talking loudly on the phone via speakerphone, which was a bit annoying. The atmosphere isn't very inviting, unfortunately. The pizzas are perfectly fine value for money.
