GIOIA MIA In Guidonia montecelio

I was in this restaurant/pizzeria at the end of 2024; there were 4 of us at the table and we all took different dishes of different courses (no pizza, although seeing them pass they looked like excellent 'Roman-style' pizzas, therefore very crunchy). The starters were varied and plentiful, all excellent and tasty (the fried foods were not too greasy, they were perfect): bruschetta, courgette flowers, mixed fried foods... all excellent. As a first course I chose the classic cacio e pepe... I haven't eaten such good cacio e pepe in years. The surprise, however, was my partner's carbonara: I've eaten it (tasting it) very rarely because it's not to my taste... but the one from the Gioia Mia restaurant made me change my mind... I was about to eat her dish too ! Really excellent, highly recommended. At the end we moved on to desserts (no main courses, we had eaten too much!) and I have rarely heard that a restaurant serves 'artisanal desserts' which were also true in reality. Here it was like this: real handmade desserts. Delicious cheesecake, excellent sorbet! As for the wines, in my opinion, the cellar is very well stocked and offers the right choices. If you are passing through, I recommend a stop in this excellent family restaurant, you will feel at home

Nice place and good food. Prices are a little high for the area, but it's ok. The service was very kind and professional. The only flaw is the limited choice of wines by the glass. However, I would happily stay here again!

We happened to have lunch here in Guidonia Montecelio by chance (only Chinese restaurants in the centre), I looked around a bit on the internet and found 'gioia mia', a small welcoming restaurant with very kind and helpful owners, everything was fresh and almost everything was expressed at the moment, simple but with excellent flavours. well done!!! We will definitely be back

We had dinner at this restaurant and had a very good time. Nice, very familiar location, excellent food, although perhaps little choice between first and second courses. Very good homemade desserts. The waiters were very quick, friendly and helpful. I don't give 5 stars only for the price: too high for what we ate :)

We found it by chance as often happens to us and as usual we were lucky. Excellent and fresh fish based food. It would have been better luck if it was in a busier area but that doesn't take away from the goodness of their products. We had a fish starter. then spaghetti with clams and cherry tomatoes and gnocchi with clams and mussels, all excellent, definitely worth revisiting

Clean family-run restaurant, excellent food from fish to pizza, variety of desserts and staff always helpful and friendly.... I highly recommend it

Dinner for a couple for a birthday, really fresh and delicious fish and truly excellent Roman pizza, 10/10 service with a kind and very nice waitress and a really nice, clean and relaxing environment, highly recommended
