Today we went to Gino Cacino, what can I say... a sensational culinary experience! He delighted us with a platter of two specialities: spinach chips with lard and pecorino ricotta, finocchiona with mushroom sauce, beer shank with mustard and honey, wild boar mortadella with gorgonzola and aubergines, soprassata and tripe with cannellini beans and fondue pecorino. Unique flavor combination. Compliments to the chef! The price is a little higher than the usual cured meat factory but I assure you that it is worth it, both for the products and for the passion that goes into these dishes!

Visit on 28/11 for lunch, a characteristic way and with a story to tell.
To eat you can choose, among the various options, between a flood of sandwiches, all with different ingredients.
We opted for: raw, smoked scamorza, dried tomatoes and caramelized onion; The other with porchetta, stracciatella and caramelized onion. They were DELICIOUS and plentiful, top ingredients.
2 glasses of wine, plenty of those too.
Total cost €38 (of which €16 wine).
Too bad I don't live in the area, highly recommended!!!
(Unfortunately I have to apologize because I didn't read a sign that said to ask before sitting at the table, rightly so too, and we sat down without asking)

Tasting his sandwiches is worth the trip... and we are in Siena!!! his sandwiches are works of art, culinary masterpieces. Every bite, I repeat, every bite is an explosion of flavour, it has its own story, its own emotion, its own why inside the sandwich. Even though we have normal prices we are talking about VERY HIGH cuisine, there is a lot of study in the construction of the sandwiches and a lot of passion.
VERY HIGH CUISINE AT LOW PRICES.
Tip: come in and let them explain what you eat, you will discover a world!!! On the other hand, you are in Siena, art must first of all be known and understood to fully savor it.

I came on Saturday with my partner and we had two glasses of wine for an aperitif.
The wait wasn't a problem at all because the place is beautiful and full of things to look at.
Gino can be seen to work with passion and, although he hasn't tasted the sandwiches, it can be seen that he is an artist who dedicates the right amount of time to each customer.
Next time I return to Siena we will spend the whole day there

Everything we had was phenomenal, I came here because a recommendation of an Italian friend! It’s authentic and local exactly like I wanted. The owner is really kind. The Degustazione Panini is 3 different kind of panini and they are all exceptional. We also add the porchetta sandwich with Balsamic and it’s also very good! Bravo 👏🏼

On arrival we were not greeted and didn’t feel welcomed. After standing for five minutes and being ignored we decided to sit down. However we missed the sign stating you must ask to do. When eventually we ordered food we did ask if it was ok to take a seat.
The panini’s and wine were great! However again whilst leaving and trying to pay we were ignored and waited whilst he finished his conversion with Italian customers who had finished paying.
As I stated already the food was great and the owner clearly has a great passion for it. But the service could be a little better.

L'attesa è valsa il panino. Un peccato chiamarlo solo panino: è stata un'esperienza del palato. Le melanzane alla lavanda sono state una sorpresa inaspettata.
