Un menù che racchiude tutta la gastronomia toscana.. tra salumi, formaggi, salse e vini.
Un’ardua scelta, per fortuna ci sono varie possibilità di degustazione, che racchiudono davvero il concetto che Angelo vuole trasmettere ai suoi clienti: l’abbinamento di ingredienti ricercati, che provocano una vera esplosione di sapori!
Non un semplice panino, ma una vera esperienza!

Beautiful aperitif experience with a super Orange Wine from 2015, two excellent crostini from the menu and two superlative crostoni personalized by Angelo! You can feel all the passion and experience he has in the culinary field, even with a simple dish in itself he managed to amaze and impress us. We hope to return soon for a full tasting 🥰 Thank you!

We went to Gino Cacino on advice if we wanted to eat excellent sandwiches in Siena, so we went to try them; once we found the place we were able to observe the multiple menus displayed both outside and inside the restaurant and immediately we could notice the many dishes available ranging from first courses to tartare to second courses and indeed sandwiches, angelo makes a lot of other preparations, all of which it would seem homemade so a very positive thing... you can see that it tastes without a doubt. The moment we entered, however, we immediately noticed one thing: Angelo is alone behind the counter and has to: take orders, make sandwiches or other dishes, take the wine that is behind the counter near the exit in special cabinets, cleaning the cutting boards of people who have finished eating, cleaning the tables, telling people not to sit down if they haven't ordered yet, counting, in short, too many things that absolutely cannot be done alone due to time and energy issues (however much there is put it and you can see that he does it with absolute pleasure) but I can't wait from when I enter to when I leave 1 hour in the true sense of the word for two sandwiches, not even if they were the sandwiches of a lifetime... this is why I gave the service 2 stars out of 5.
Of the place itself I can say that it is an old-fashioned place and it can be there, however it is really full of posts where a myriad of things are written, you go from the rules to go towards the stories/sayings and many other curiosities that it may interest people while waiting, it didn't really make me say wow but I understand it and I understand the facts I gave it 3 stars out of 5.
Regarding the most important point, i.e. the food: I took a sandwich with wild boar meat with Val di Fossa pecorino cream for €13, the bread was a ciabatta style, grilled with a lot of wild boar and really good pecorino inside. However, I encountered a significant problem: when you go to eat the sandwich the contents come out, it's difficult to eat because everything continually slides out and isn't good. Despite this, without going further, I found it very good and tasty, in fact I gave the food 4 stars and I think I would take it again.
I was visiting Siena for a day and, standing in line all that time for a sandwich, I don't know if I would do it again, I had to visit the city and if I knew I had to wait so long I wouldn't even have gone there, those of the locals I say lucky you who you have time to eat them. In conclusion, the sandwich itself (the one I got) was very good but the waiting times were truly interminable.

It's an atelier, the ingredients are there and the artist uses them, they are all delicious flavors chosen from the best in the area. Being food, it doesn't remain a real work that you take away, but the feeling of having witnessed a beautiful view, of having received a caress, a beautiful memory that warms you and you get up and go with a beautiful smile persists.
It's not a place to rush, it's worth every minute, to be enjoyed calmly, to wander around reading everything that's hanging around, to get lost looking at the sandwiches that are prepared with love.
It's good for you, for sure.

A must stop if you go to Siena!
An excellent experience with both the food and the place itself, starting from the entrance.
Welcoming owner with interesting and particular menus. You can see and feel the passion that is in every detail.
Highly recommended and I hope to be able to return as soon as possible despite being from Rome because even after years the quality is always very high and the experience is unique.

Excellent and characteristic experience, when you enter you are transported to another place where good food reigns supreme. The wait to eat is worth every single second and the price is proportionate to the quality of the food. The sandwiches are unique, all freshly prepared with care by the owner. Highly recommended if you want to spend time in a unique place in Siena.

Panino veramente buono, prodotti di qualità.
Meno buono l’attesa di 45 minuti per avere due panini con affettato e formaggio, con solo 4 persone davanti a noi. Peccato.
