Angelo is the sole artist here, so expect and plan for some wait time. Treat Angelo with respect, and he will do the same to you. While you wait, take your time to enjoy the place. Scan the many QR codes that will lead you to Angelo's many blogs about his food and thoughts, read the many amazing notes from customers on the wall, or just sit and watch Angelo, the food artist, passionately prepare the best panini you'll ever taste. We came as a family of 5 and decided to try Angelo's blind tasting. It is a panini cut into 3 unique pieces, each with its unique tasty filling. It comes in 3 different prices, the cheapest is simple, and the most expensive is the most complex. We chose the most expensive blind taste 3-piece panini at €25 each and paired them with a good bottle of wine, something Angelo is also very passionate about. While waiting and watching our paninis being created with passion, we sadly witnessed several people entering, and leaving again after waiting for 5 minutes, just because they weren't given prompt attention. Just sad! It is no secret that the Paninis are the best we have ever tasted. Seriously, this is food art, created fresh, while you sit and enjoy watching the master at his work. Angelo, thank you for the best-ever paninis, amazing wine, and your great company! Thank you for your tips on what to see in the beautiful city of Siena. We did make it to see Siena from above. We will be back for sure. Food is Culture, Culture is Nourishment!

I ate at Gino Cacino yesterday with my family (five people, three of whom were truly mouthy, ranging in age from 13 to 20). Friends highly recommended this place and I absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Siena (or working there, as I often have) who wants to enjoy a wonderful lunch experience. Angelo is an artist of traditional flavors; the list of sandwiches is endless, and each sandwich is distinguished by a unique combination that demonstrates careful selection of ingredients, careful study of pairings, and passion. We ordered five sandwiches, each completely different from the other: each one was special. We will definitely return and ask Angelo to delight us with a platter of his own imaginative delicacies. The wait was also made enjoyable by the welcoming atmosphere, with famous quotes and sayings hanging everywhere, a source of inspiration for a healthy lifestyle. Another notable detail is the absolutely fair price for the quality and level of experience. We will be back soon. Thank you.

The sandwiches here were fantastic, clearly made with care by the owner, who was also the only staff member. However, our visit was unfortunately soured by the owner's unwelcoming and grumpy attitude. Even as the only customers, we felt very uncomfortable as foreign tourists. It's hard to say if it was a language barrier, a cultural difference, or something else entirely, but the experience was a letdown. Plus, the restaurant was hard to find due to its unmarked entrance. This was particularly disappointing since we'd been drawn in by online reviews and the owner's funny responses.

We arrived in Siena at 2 PM, starving, and asked for a platter created according to the host's whims. He brought us freshly prepared delicacies, each one better than the last. If we lived nearby, we'd come every day! The fresh sausage and caramelized onion tartare was so delicious it was heartwarming.

A gourmet stop in this small restaurant hidden away from the crowds. The sandwiches we chose were made to order, using fresh local produce. An excellent glass of wine accompanied my panino, chosen by the restaurateur 🙏. The setting is unpretentious, which is a good thing; you have to stop and look around… The selection of wines is impressive 😍 There were four of us French people and we loved it. A wonderful discovery, which I highly recommend.

This is a very special place. The sandwiches are indescribably delicious, the quality of the (mostly local, Tuscan) ingredients is extraordinary and the whines that Angelo offers are of the highest quality, worth every euro. There are several menues with a wealth of choice for the sandwiches with unique, delicious, creative combinations of flavours. I took for instance the sandwich with tartare di salsiccia, pistacchio, stracciatella and a hint of honey. We return every year to this place: Gino Cacino di Angelo makes Siena even more beautiful! It is clear that Angelo runs his shop with a lot of care, dedication and passion. Thank you for another special experience! We will be back!

Locale nascosto tra le frasche, pensi addirittura che sia chiuso, invece entri e vieni catapultato in un mondo di genuinità e qualità che non si può spiegare. La passione con cui vengono preparati i taglieri e i panini ti lasciano incantato. La cura con cui gli affettati e i formaggi vengono selezionati e porzionati ti fanno capire la passione che c'è dietro quei gesti. I sapori poi favolosi, forti e decisi di chi non si affanna per fare più coperti possibili ma per servire ad ognuno la massima qualità! Bravissimi!
