Gigliocooking School In Firenze

Marcella is a magician!!!! We booked a cooking class while we were visiting our niece in Florence. We showed up with one person that cannot gluten and one person that was a vegetarian. On the spot Marcella was able to adapt to all three of our dietary needs, and the food ans good as any five star restaurant I’ve ever eaten at.

I had the most incredible experience learning from Marcella! There were around seven people in our group and she had such patience instructing us. We made pasta with a delicious tomato sauce. As well, as chicken breast rolls with spinach and pine nuts. To top it off, we made a delicious molten type chocolate cake from scratch. I highly recommend going to a fun filled and educational class in Italian cooking from Marcello!

We were here 7 years ago and had such a great time that we had to come back for a return visit. I highly recommend coming for a cooking class if you are in Florence. Marcella is a wonderful hostess and she makes the cooking class so much fun. Plus you get to eat everything you made so it is delicious.

My husband and I enjoyed this class so much. Marcella is very knowledgeable about the the "biology" of cooking and taught us how to make a delicious Italian meal! Highly recommend!

Wow! What a fantastic cooking experience! Marcella is an amazing cook with great experience. Originally from the a Tuscan island, where she owned and operated a restaurant, to being a chef herself, and now she's sharing her great knowledge and experience with people like us! Her vast understanding of the ingredients that go into each meal, is extensive and detailed! We absolutely loved every minute of our class. The kitchen is well equipped and the set up is perfect for a group. Everyone had a chance to chop, make pasta, cook and serve! We would highly recommend it! Everything we made was perfect! Mmmmm mmmm good 👍 There are many different classes offered here, truly something for everyone! There are also full week or month courses available for all types of students 😊 We attended our class in October 2025. @gigliocooking_school

My mom and I took a cooking class with Chef Alberto Bergami, and it was absolutely unforgettable. He shared so much knowledge, not only about the history of Italian cuisine but also the fine details of each dish we prepared. I especially loved that we were sent home with the recipes so we can recreate them (I cannot WAIT to make the Crespelle alla Fiorentina at home!). We learned so much, enjoyed delicious food, sipped wonderful wine, and agreed this was truly one of the highlights of our trip. If I could, I’d take classes here every month! Thank you to Gigliocooking School for such a memorable experience, we sincerely hope to return one day.

I highly recommend taking a cooking class at Gigliocooking School. The chef was very patient and taught us a lot about ingredients, herbs, spices and more importantly how to tell good olive oil from cheap imitations. Our meal turned out awesome and oh so good. If we are ever back in Florence we will definitely take another class. This was the highlight of our trip!
