Gigli D’Oro Suite In Roma

I don’t understand the bad reviews. It is a really small but really well kept and with a great staff. They have staff in limited hours of the day but they were amazing to accommodate my early arrival, greeted me with pastries, water and espresso while I waited for my room. My only regret is that we will stay only one night. My next stay in Rome will for sure be there again.

I don't understand the bad reviews. In our experience, this is a four-star hotel. We stayed in one of the two top floor rooms. It was quiet (day and night), cold, comfortable and clean. More than that, it is really nice, with classic Roman touches! As you climb the stone stairs, there are small statues in alcoves. In our large room there was a nice painting and a huge new hot tub with jets, the ceiling showed exposed rafters and tile roof with accent lighting. Service was very helpful and friendly. The negatives : our late-night checkin was remote via a video screen. We had to wait for an attendant to cycle over. This was a bad start but during the day, I usuallyI saw onsite attendants. The room smelled very fresh but the bathroom had a negative smell. Running water into the bidet helped - I think it comes from the pipes. Breakfast was not included in the package that we purchased and we did not pay to try it.

Excellent location very close to Piazza Navona. The room we were assigned is excellent and clean. The staff who accompanied us were very helpful and friendly.

Great location, not a 4-star hotel.
