Niscemi, 4 August 2023: dinner at Giardino Malerba, a pizzeria located in the internal courtyard of an ancient and prestigious building in the historic center of Niscemi. So I'll tell you right away that it's not the usual pizzeria, but something more. Let's start with a quick overview of prices. Cover charge: €2.50; Snacks: from 3.50 euros for simple fries to 10 euros for a platter of cold cuts and cheeses for two people; Focaccia: from 7 to 9 euros; Classic pizzas: from 5 to 11 euros; Gourmet pizzas (the most particular and imaginative): from 11 to 14 euros; Coca cola in 1 liter glass: 4 euros; Mineral water 2.50 euros; Beers: from 3 to 5 euros; Wines: average price per bottle 20 euros. The prices are not popular, of course, but neither are the environment, the service and the quality of the food. In short, the Malerba Garden is the classic place that will make you make a good impression on your guests, thanks to a good level of perceived quality, both in the particularity of the location, in the service and finally in every course, from the first taste of appetizers to the last triangle of pizza. 😋. These are the strong points (👍). I noticed two weak points (😐): 1) by choosing particularly elaborate and tasty appetizers, focaccias and pizzas, you might feel a little thirsty in the hours following the meal; 2) the final bill is "exact to the cent" (😅) therefore no propensity for small discounts or rounding in favor of the customer. However, my final opinion remains largely positive👍.
