At Tanuki Izakaya, this happens surprisingly effortlessly. As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a welcoming and thoughtful atmosphere: soft lighting, Japanese decorations, anime posters, and countless details that make the place unique. It's a place that makes you feel good and manages to convey a sense of Japan, even from afar. The tonkatsu is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a perfect balance of textures and a flavor that reaches an amazing level of UMAMI. The other dishes—udon in broth, takoyaki, and chicken nanban—were also excellent, meticulously prepared and crafted with evident passion. The service was quick and friendly, despite the restaurant being almost full. The waiters are attentive and always available. Tanuki Izakaya is not just a restaurant, but a little corner of Japan in Italy. A place where you can eat well, relax, and want to come back as soon as you leave.
