I recommend everyone to stop by Uncle Pietro's, for those who love good artisanal ice cream, not to mention the granitas, so much variety at a low price, a tradition carried on by Uncle Pietro's nephews, well done guys.

Here you can truly eat authentic Sicilian granita. The artisanal ice cream is also excellent and reasonably priced.

Simple, nit fancy, but good gelateria with ice cream, granita and brioche. We lived nearby and have seen lots of locals who buy granita here. Works from 1964.

I highly recommend this place for its extensive experience in making excellent gelato and delicious granitas. Uncle Pietro has become a symbol of the Civita neighborhood, a must-visit for truly delicious Catanian gelato!

THE BEST ICE CREAM I’VE HAD IN SICILY! I tried several flavors during my stay, and every single one was truly delicious. On top of that, the guy who served us was extremely kind. Our friend, who was traveling with us, has a severe vanilla allergy that could be life-threatening within seconds. He patiently checked every single recipe to make sure she could safely enjoy the ice cream as well. We are deeply grateful and wish him all the best! 🍦🍨❤️

Gelato and granitas like they used to be. Excellent quality at low prices. The brioche alone is so good it's worth the trip. I recommend the almond and mulberry granitas.

19/08/2025: We ate here for our last night in Catania and it didn’t disappoint. There is a lovely courtyard area behind the restaurant which is very charming. The Carbonara and Seafood pasta were delicious. Highly recommend.

08/09/2025: We had great service, the owner is hilarious and very charismatic. The food is to die for too!! We got scrambled eggs in a croissant & puff pastry. Also, he looks after birds in need and it was lovely to meet a swift in his care.
05/09/2025: A very friendly and humorous person. Everything is made fresh to order here. So, you'll need a bit of patience when having breakfast here. But it's worth it; it's delicious, especially since the croissants are fresh from the oven. :)
