The prices are okay. But the ice cream is decidedly average. In my case, the yogurt and chocolate weren't bad, but the melon was terrible.

Gelateria Rainbow is a retro-style establishment located in one of Alassio's main squares, always crowded but not chaotic. The service is prompt, but not particularly welcoming. Let's get straight to the point: the disparity in the offerings. In addition to the cones and cups, there's also the option, for €4, of a "large" cone, called a "ciada," which I choose. The option includes four flavors, and I modestly thought that, similar to other places, there was a proportion between the size of the cup and the amount of gelato. I was sorely mistaken! Shockingly, the small two-flavor cup had MORE gelato than the "ciada," which actually consists of four scoops of "mignon" gelato. This isn't a clear offer in itself, but it's bordering on unfair commercial practice. Be aware of this to avoid being ripped off like I was. Qualitatively, it's a fairly bland ice cream, with little bite, at least for the flavors I tried, which were a bit similar. A special mention goes to the banana, though; it tasted very good. Alas, I definitely wouldn't return to Rainbow. I left there feeling furious: I could have made a public complaint, but the stern looks would probably have turned into rudeness, and honestly, when you're at the beach, I don't feel much like that.

A very good ice cream, the best in all of Alassio, SUPER. Anyone who hasn't tried it yet must go, it's a quality ice cream. If I have to give a rating from 1 to 10, I'd give it 10, very kind staff. When I come to Alassio, it's a pleasure for me to go there and I can't miss it. The yogurt flavor is delicious, the Mandarin flavor is super, even the Maraquja flavor is the bomb. BRAVE GUYS.
