I stumbled upon a gelato shop while walking along the beach. I love pistachio, so I always stop by every gelato place I visit, but this one was bland. The lemon flavor was decent, but the base was more milky than sorbet-like, which was a bit disappointing. Two flavors cost €2.50, the same price for both cones and cups.

I've been there before, but something must have changed. It used to be our favorite in Livorno, but this time we weren't satisfied. I can confirm the presence of a large dog, mentioned in other reviews, that seems to roam freely between the restaurant and the back room.

Veniamo qui come tappa obbligatoria quando stiamo in toscana e come sempre il gelato non ci delude mai. Tutta qualità ottima, ho scelto stavolta crema di arachidi e crema caprilli. Ne avrei mangiato ancora dalla bontà che aveva!

Gelateria Caprilli sul Viale Italia è un vero bijou: curata nei dettagli, banconi pieni di tentazioni e atmosfera accogliente. Ho preso una coppetta due gusti: Sacher (con veri pezzi di torta!) e lime e basilico, un mix fresco e sorprendente.
Si capisce subito perché si definiscono “gelateria naturale”: ingredienti genuini, sapori puliti e intensi, niente roba finta. Talmente buono che mi sono dimenticato pure di fare le foto… meno male che mi hanno fatto un video!
Tappa obbligata a Livorno per gli amanti del gelato vero.
