The ice cream is very good, you can feel it's real.
The coffee ice cream tasted like coffee and the cream ice cream tasted like cream.

Hands down, the best gelato shop in Livorno.
Caprilli is in a perfect location, ideal for grabbing a gelato and enjoying it while strolling along the waterfront.
The selection is huge: unique flavors, classics, pralines, chocolate, and countless desserts. You can immediately taste the quality of the ingredients; each flavor is carefully crafted and delicious.
I also tried a cheesecake and I must say it was truly delicious, a very pleasant surprise in addition to the gelato.

Caprilli was the last place we got gelato from before we headed back to Canada. The gelato was delightful and I hope I can remember the taste years later.
I ordered mostly in Italian and was happy that they understood me. Just before paying, my partner wanted to add a flavour to my cone, but because of a communication issue between me and my partner, my partner ended up getting a separate cone. Despite this, he enjoyed his cone.
I loved my gelato, but it was melting very quickly and getting my fingers all sticky. It wasn’t a very hot day - we visited in April 2025. I don’t think I’ve ever seen gelato melt this quickly, so I don’t know if this is normal with gelato in Italy or if I’m a slower eater.

My preferred gelateria in Livorno. Top quality ice creams, chocolate, hot chocolate on winter is also amazing! Still the number one for me for so many years. They have now expanded to cakes and chocolates!
