The owner was a real legend. He was patient and let us try a couple of things before we made our final choices. I had to try a more adventurous flavor and went for the ginger ice cream as this was recommended by Travel Man. This was also one of the cheapest places to get a proper gelato in Venice.

We had Gelato and it was very good. The selection of flavors is very interesting. I had Straciatella and 'Almond'. Both were great. Perhaps the only comment that I have is that when you first try them, they seem a bit harder than normal Gelato but after a couple of minutes, the consistency becomes like Gelato. Definitely deserves a visit.

Came here for the salicornia gelato but today it was celery and sage. Had a little taster of the salvia ice cream, and it‘s definitely worth trying! Very friendly ice cream man, and I loved my green apple and pineapple gelato. Will come back for more!

It's very tasty homemade ice cream, cheap compared to other ice cream parlors in Venice (3.50 for two scoops).

A must do! Everything is homemade and very surprising flavors depending on the seasons such as sage, celery, artichoke, ginger, grape and more classic ones. The price is more than reasonable! Honestly, I highly recommend!

Great gelato, some surprising flavours. I had sage and pistacchio. Maybe not the best combo but very good separately. Will come back for ginger and some other options. Pro tip - do not take more than one scoop on a super hot day, because it just melts onto your hand.

Trattoria San Basilio

15/10/2024: Great little restaurant, also well attended by locals. You are shown the fish before it is prepared and can see for yourself how fresh it is. Clear menu, especially with fish dishes. Highly recommended!
19/09/2024: Had a beautifully cooked sea bass served with grilled courgettes and salad leaves. However, I don’t recommend the spaghetti pomodoro as it lacked everything from seasoning, flavour and care. They don’t speak much English or have many dairy free dishes but service was good. If it’s not too cold, you can enjoy your meal by the water
