Geco In Roma

It's not the first time we go there, but this time I didn't like the waiter's approach, he didn't give us time to think about what to order, "I'll bring you some fried food" to then discover that 3 potato croquettes with ham inside cost us 17 euros, basically just 140€ for appetizers, and to try a bit of everything we tore the supplì into pieces.... in the end to eat a few pieces of fried products and a pizza we spent 100 euros for every 3 people. The place is very nice, we will return, but this time the waiter will come to the table when we call him.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Geco restaurant, located in the lively Piazza Marconi in Rome. I must admit that, regarding the quality of the food, expectations were greatly exceeded. Every dish we tasted was prepared with care, using fresh, excellent quality raw materials. From first courses to second courses of meat, the mastery in the kitchen is undeniable. The flavors were authentic and well balanced, leaving a tasty and satisfying memory. However, it is necessary to address the issue of prices, which stand at a decidedly high range. Although the quality of the ingredients and preparation partially justify the cost, a complete dinner at Geco can represent a significant investment. It is a restaurant more suitable for special occasions or for those who are not too careful about the budget. Another aspect that dampened the experience a bit was the perceptible haste of the waiter who served us. Although it is understandable that in a crowded place there is a certain rhythm, we felt excessive pressure when taking orders and clearing the table. We would have appreciated a more relaxed service and the possibility of enjoying the evening more calmly. In conclusion, the Geco restaurant shines with its excellent food quality, offering a high-level dining experience. However, high prices and rushed service are aspects to consider. If you are looking for authentic flavors and don't mind spending a little more, Geco could be for you. However, if you prefer a quieter and better value for money experience, you may want to explore other options.

A nice place in EUR, furnishings from a few years ago but very nice and very well designed, large spaces and welcoming. The proposals are different and range from pizza or tongs of your choice. For the first courses of Italian cuisine, excellent second courses of meat and fish. The cellar is good.

On an architectural level the place is characterized by the severe and rigorous lines of fascist architecture, by the high ceilings and squared pillars, very beautiful and also the ventilation solutions of the room avoid those horrible aluminum tubes on the ceiling; the decoration could have been better taken care of by removing fake ethnic elements or silvery reminders of times gone by. The service was a bit aseptic and unwelcoming. As for the food, we tasted some appetizers (tartare, mixed fried supplì, parmigiana and mozzarella in carrozza) all excellent and well executed even if the portions were a little small. The hamburger I bought accompanied by chips had a huge flaw, it tasted strongly of chemical devilry, the flavor remained in my mouth even the next morning, obviously a very unpleasant thing.... The dessert, a black forest, heavy, dry... In short, for the cost, quite high, the food is not up to par, you pay for the location and the environment.

Location interna gradevole nell’estetica, alti soffitti, esternamente localizzata vicino all’Obelisco all’Eur, in Roma. Piatti buoni e gustosi con servizio buono. Prezzi moderatamente alti ma adeguati al locale. 3,9/5 complessivi

Il locale si trova all’Eur, enorme con un numero smodato di coperti, potrebbe tranquillamente essere un self-service ed il cibo come qualità è da self-service. Il servizio è un po’ disattento e svogliato, i prezzi sono nella media.
