We ate wonderfully: tagliatelle with venison ragù, tagliatelle with fir pesto, and out-of-this-world porcini dumplings!
Compliments to the chef and the service.
Highly recommended!

You'd actually drive past it; the small inn on the road is too inconspicuous. Anyone who does stop is rewarded with delicious regional cuisine, friendliness, and hospitality. You feel at home. Thank you, H.S.

Lovely place. Amazing friendly host. Family owned and operated. We had an amazing diner that’s was prepared with home made ingredients like tagliatelle.
Just be careful when navigating with Google Maps. The hotel is correctly situated with its name but not with its address. Just use the name and you’re good. Apple Maps has the address correctly mapped though.

We only went for lunch during our trip. A very cute and well-kept place. The soothing sound of the stream lingers in the dining room, surrounded by lush greenery. The lady is very friendly, kind, and welcoming, even to our two dogs.
She also recommended the dishes we later ordered. An excellent experience. The grilled farm cheese with garden salad and flowers is a must-try. Everything we ordered was truly excellent. Bravo to the chef 👏🏻🤩
It was truly wonderful to have stumbled upon this place. Highly recommended.

A culinary and human highlight – relaxation, enjoyment, and genuine warmth in Neurathais
After a long, hot, and strenuous hike on the E5 – from the Similaun Hut to Neurathais – we arrived at the Gasthof Neurathais, exhausted but full of anticipation. What awaited us there exceeded all our expectations.
We were warmly welcomed by a young, charming employee who immediately handed us the keys and showed us the half-board menu – and this menu simply blew us away. The selection was not only creative but also lovingly prepared. For starters, we chose homemade tagliatelle with venison ragù, followed by an incredibly tender beef goulash with homemade dumplings. But the real culinary highlight came with dessert…
Beforehand, we were able to relax in the lovingly furnished room, shower, charge our devices, and prepare for dinner. The dining area, a kind of elegant winter garden with open windows, mountain views, artistic murals, wood paneling, and floral arrangements, was simply dreamy. We felt welcome, well looked after, and were seated – with a view and anticipation.
The food? A poem. The very first course left us speechless: Michelin-starred cuisine, served on stylish ceramic plates, garnished with edible wildflowers from the surrounding area – full of fragrance, color, and flavor. The main course continued the same standard seamlessly: hearty, perfectly seasoned, and lovingly prepared.
And then came the desserts. The first: a real, hollowed-out lemon filled with a velvety, homemade lemon ice cream – served on a bed of desiccated coconut. An experience for the palate and the senses. The second dessert: five elliptical ice cream scoops, arranged like a flower on the plate, with wafer-thin strawberry slices in the center, drizzled with homemade strawberry sauce live at the table. A small show, a great pleasure.
The service was courteous, humorous, and genuinely friendly. You can feel it in every detail: The cooking and hospitality here are done with heart. The team always strived to offer guests more than just comfort – it was genuine hospitality.
The next morning, we were even allowed to have breakfast early – and what a breakfast it was: homemade porridge, oven-fresh bread and rolls, regional sausage and cheese specialties, elderflower juice, and fresh coffee. Everything was carefully selected and prepared. As a farewell, we were treated to a free espresso, accompanied by warm words from the owner and her friendly daughter.
We were truly treated like royalty, felt completely at home, had a wonderful rest, and are still thrilled. The Gasthof Neurathais is a true gem in South Tyrol – with culinary excellence, a loving atmosphere, and a big heart.
We will definitely be back. Thank you for everything!
