A pochi km dal lago di Braies, una bella locanda con vista sulla vallata. Cucina semplice e buona, pochi fronzoli ma di sostanza, piatti tipici tradizionali cucinati con cura. Servizio gentile, prezzi abbordabili.

Unfortunately in these places, on Saturday and Sunday there is a frenzy, to tell the truth they will be able to organize the service better but everything else is ok.

It's the second time we've been back and like the first we ate very well. If you are in the Braies lake area I recommend stopping here to eat. I recommend booking the day in advance to reserve your place because there are few tables. Very kind lady/owner and does everything by herself in the room.

We booked for lunch, intrigued by the reviews we had read. We had a platter of cold cuts and cheeses to share followed by venison goulash with polenta and a pork steak. All plentiful and very tasty. Congratulations to the lady and the kitchen staff for their availability and kindness. Super recommended!!

A bit dated but clean inn with wonderfully traditional, incredibly tasty food. Friendly service and despite many tourists, not a tourist trap or anything like that.

Abbiamo mangiato benissimo, piatti fatti in casa, abbondanti e prezzi nella norma, infatti siamo tornati anche il secondo giorno, trattoria molto carina e personale gentile.

06/11/2024: The mountain hut can be reached with a short walk of around 15 minutes from a large car park. The view is very beautiful. The polenta was very light, really excellent, the sauerkraut was also very good. And finally the apple fritters, also very good and cheap. There were no cheeses for sale, but there were other products from the area. A place we will gladly return to. For children there is a small playground and a sandbox with games. We stopped here after visiting the Novella river park, so the day was really very pleasant.
12/09/2024: È stata la pausa pranzo durante il viaggio verso Solda; con la moto siamo riusciti a percorrere un tratto di strada sterrato e parcheggiare proprio davanti alla malga. Vista spettacolare, servizio cordiale; grazie alla temperatura gradevole ci accomodiamo all’aperto: buona la proposta del menù con prezzi nella media, abbiamo mangiato prodotti tipici, saporiti e anche le porzioni erano abbondanti. Ci siamo trovati bene. Nel week and sempre meglio prenotare.

Santnerpasshütte - Rifugio Passo Santner

02/09/2024: The new Sandnerpass Hut is a stunner! It is beautifully situated at around 2700 meters and when you climb up from the via ferrata and see it standing there in the sun you are speechless! The hut is very modern, well equipped and the food and drinks are great! Priced at the top end. But the taste and quality are worth it! The hosts are super nice and very friendly! We really enjoyed our stay here
02/09/2024: A masterpiece of geometry and technology which, in my humble opinion, appears perfectly in line with our times and with the future that awaits us. I don't agree with the criticisms at all given that the structure, in addition to being perfectly connected with the color of the environment in which it is located, uses sustainable materials both externally and internally. Let's not forget that a refuge, in addition to offering catering services, must provide shelter in case of emergency and today's dimensions certainly allow it to accommodate more people than before, where places were significantly more limited. As for the service, the strudel was excellent, plentiful and beautifully presented. In Italy, it is always an immense effort to embrace innovation, because sometimes we are too tied to the classic dogmas of tradition!
