We ordered a dish that was venison with polenta (which must go great with wine), pasta with bacon and white sauce, apricot juice and an apple pie. Everything was delicious!

A stone's throw from Lake Braies you will find this small resting place where you can savor the classic local cuisine with products with attention to the raw materials but above all abundant. The quality/price ratio is excellent The only flaw is that you put a sign on the road to reach you. Highly recommended #strawhat

After the trip to Lake Braies, a must stop for a typical lunch surrounded by greenery away from the chaos around the lake. Platter of cold cuts and cheeses and delicious spinach dumplings! Very kind owner

Tipica locanda, con caratteristiche ben mantenute. Il menù non è molto vario: poche scelte. Comunque quello xhe abbiamo preso era buono; nulla di stratosferico però. Prezzi medio alti.

A pochi km dal lago di Braies, una bella locanda con vista sulla vallata. Cucina semplice e buona, pochi fronzoli ma di sostanza, piatti tipici tradizionali cucinati con cura. Servizio gentile, prezzi abbordabili.

Hotel Restaurant Schaurhof

08/06/2025: We were only there for one night while passing through. But we had a very comfortable room and excellent service. They offered us the use of the boiler room to dry our clothes, which was a real lifesaver. Thanks again for that. The dinner was very good, and you're always assigned a table in your room, so you know exactly where you're sitting. Despite the railway line and the Brenner motorway on your side of the room, you didn't hear a thing and slept very well.
03/06/2025: Ideal place on the way. Perfect price-quality ratio. Especially the friendliness and hospitality appeals. Extensive breakfast, rooms clean and tidy.

Hotel Genziana Ristorante

17/06/2025: We have just returned from staying at this hotel. It was our first time in Ortisei. The hotel is centrally located right in front of the square where the buses stop. The hotel looks very nice and seems to have just been built. Inside we didn't find even a single stain on the walls and the rooms are spacious and well-kept in everything, especially in terms of cleanliness. When we arrived we parked in their garage under the hotel where a member of staff came to get our bags to take them to the room. We were accompanied to our room by the girl at the reception who explained to us how everything worked. The outdoor swimming pool with hydromassage is fantastic, with deck chairs for sunbathing. There are also sofas and chairs where you can have a drink in the evening: obviously there is also space inside in case of bad weather. The dining room is well-structured with excellent food and fantastic staff, very kind and helpful. After dinner we had our usual appointment at the bar with the bartender Nicola with whom we became friends right away: he is very nice and knows how to take a joke! Now let's talk about the wellness center: at the entrance you will find Marlene to welcome you. A very kind girl ready to explain if you need. The Spa has a very spacious indoor pool with loungers to relax. On the other side you can relax with a hydromassage, sauna, Turkish bath, Kneipp path and infrared for the back. We noticed that many guests had already been to this hotel, but we were treated the same way. Another strong point is the guide Lukas, very nice and ready to joke with whom you can go on excursions for both beginners and experts as he manages to organize simplifications in the tour for those who do not walk much. What can I say... very good. CONCLUSION: THE BEST HOTEL FOUND SO FAR WHERE COURTESY AND FRIENDLINESS ARE AT HOME. We will definitely return to this hotel next time.
