Gasthaus Aschbacherhof In Lagundo

in herrlicher Aussichtslage mit Blick auf das Vinschgau und den Meraner Talkessel auf 1350 Meter Meereshöhe gelegen ist das gastliche Haus mit einer Seilbahn von Rabland und auch über eine kleine kurvenreiche Straße erreichbar. Die Wirtin führt den Familienbetrieb mit zwei Söhnen in Küche und Gastraum ( der sich auf eine große Terrasse im Freien erweitert. Die Speisen sind frisch gekocht, nahrhaft und natürlich, die Portionen reichlich und die hausgemachten Kuchen sagenhaft gut und groß!

Decent restaurant, but there are much better ones in Meran/surroundings. If you're on the Waalweg, feel free to stop by. But go there specifically for that? Nope…

Der Aschbacherhof ist ein super Restaurant mit guten Speisen und sehr freundlichen Bedienungen. Die Besitzer backen selber riesige Torten die sie dann in großen Stücken servieren… Auf jeden Fall probieren ! Sowohl für Familien als auch alle anderen Personen geeignet. Für jeden ob Fleisch lieber oder Veganer etwas passend und alles selbst gemacht und in guten Portionen. Wir kommen jedes Jahr gerne hoch und haben uns immer willkommen gefühlt.

We were in this restaurant 5 times during our 7-day vacation. We only spent the two days in another restaurant because of the rest days/ I think that says it all. The food, staff and location are simply a 10/10 and can't be topped!

Insider tip after a long hike on the Waalweg from Meran or from the village of Tyrol. The tasty spare ribs are recommended; the meat is so tender that it falls off the bone.

Excellent. It's not clear from the photos but the restaurant is particularly beautiful and high quality and the views from up there are simply superb. We ate very well and the prices were in line. We stayed in the stube because there were no more seats outside but in any case we didn't miss anything, on the contrary! We will return and recommend it
