My wife and I enjoyed a very special evening at Ristorante Gagini. The location is very pedestrian-friendly. The building is from the 16th century, wiith ancient stone walls that take you back in time. The modern furniture and artwork is lovely. Giuseppe (manager), the sommelier and our server made our evening wonderful from arrival to departure. The service and the food were excellent. We requested a wine pairing for our a la carte meals and it was an excellent experience. We recommend and would return again without question!

Is it worthwhile to create subtle solutions using local Sicilian products? Yes, when you succeed. And the chef succeeds 6/7.
As for the fascinating wine selection (especially the whites), the sommelier is truly gifted. From lemon to stone, including honey, it's a true journey.

It was just perfect. Amazing food, spastically mix pasta and dessert with mulberry. If you want an experience of fine dining this place is the best in Palermo

Incredibly delicious, definitely worth a try. We took the 9-course menu and it was fantastically delicious and very unusual.

Unfortunately, this year's experience at Gagini didn't meet the expectations I'd built up after previous visits. I'd been here a year ago and the year before, always being pleasantly impressed. This time, however, I encountered several delays between courses, which made the wait at times annoying.
The dishes, though carefully prepared and beautifully presented, seemed less impressive than in the past. With all due respect to the current chef, I missed the complexity and explosion of flavors I remembered so fondly.
On a positive note: I appreciated the wine pairing option, which hadn't been offered in the past.
Perhaps the dishes simply didn't fully meet my tastes, but compared to previous experiences, I must admit I was a bit disappointed.

Nice and cozy restaurant. Very interesting menu. A là carte Choice with strong but well balanced flavours. Wide wine choices. Well done to all People involved: kitchen, maitre, sommelier and service. Value for money higher than expected.
