Service wise it's a bit of anarchy. Food okay. Not much room to sit.

Ordering is a bit chaotic and the dishes are not reheated by default, you have to ask the waiters. The food is okay. Forget the salt and pepper. Even if you ask for it, they tell you it's already salty.

Beautiful and well-kept atmosphere, you eat first with your eyes and then with your mouth. I tried the suppli and then their roast beef and vegetables, all really good. Excellent service, and a special mention for their wines by the glass, which are also a great drink for a quick lunch during a work break. Well done!

And then there's Gabrini....you could call this review that because, for me, Via Cola di Rienzo has been Castroni—that Castroni—for at least 35 years...and then there's Gabrini. Before that, there was Franchi, a name that was a guarantee...but once upon a time...He was practically the father of gourmet rotisserie, the one that became as crowded during the holidays as outlets during sales. That Franchi who understood that along with roast chicken and rice balls, you could also sell Russian salad and lobster...and he did it well for many decades, then one misstep at a time...I don't know what happened, but in the end, from a sought-after establishment, it became an embarrassing place (the moral is: just because you've worked in a kitchen, you're not necessarily a chef, Ed.). It closed in 2020, but when I inquired about it, I learned it had been taken over by the historic Castroni family, and then I saw the light bulb of trust come back on. It's only been open a short while, and I'm not exactly a regular customer... but obviously I had to at least make a comparison, and the top-notch supplì have risen from the ashes, as have the entire poultry, pizza, bakery, cured meats, pork butcher's, cheese departments... and even the pastry shop... I gather this is their current strong point, and young people seem to appreciate it, especially because there's plenty of space for eating (but I also saw tables outside). And then the staff: Castroni knows well that staff are essential, and here too you'll find that blend of professionalism, friendliness, and cordiality that allows a little intimacy to be revealed only where it's clearly permitted. Except for the cash register, which remains the most austere area (but that's right, the bills require attention), the atmosphere is very convivial, but always polite and respectful. Highly recommended, of course... and highly recommended. The prices? Let's just say it's not exactly convenient, eh...but not too expensive either. After all, we're on Via Cola di Rienzo...oh...by the way...that Gabrini is none other than Cola di Rienzo's last name (Nicola di Lorenzo Gabrini, Ed.), and therefore a huge responsibility. At first they got my ordered wrong, but they were really kind and fixed the problem. It was delicious, I definitely recommend it.

Tiramisu is ridiculously good, I don't know if I'll ever find like it again. The cream is very thick and creamy. No alcohol, as they assured me for people who eat halal. Tiramisu is seriously luxurious and alcohol-free, as they told me 🙏🏻 For Arabs

We visited on June 26, on the way to the Vatican, spent the morning over a cup of coffee, and then decided where to have lunch) and after a walking tour, enjoyed Prosecco and delicious octopuses) absolutely everything is delicious!

Everything here is top quality. I would like to mention their sourdough bread. After we discovered this we didn't eat any other bread during our stay in Prati. Good shelf life. Reasonably priced. Buy two and put one in the freezer!

The hardest part is making choices. You want to try everything. I recommend the grilled octopus and the tiramisu. The great thing is that you can have a little bit of everything on the same plate. Takeout also available. Enjoy!

Pizza was the best. With the pizzeria on every street, I would still walk across Rome for a slice of their pizza.
