Furano-Bahari In Agropoli

We stayed here for a few nights, and I have to say: the place and location are truly beautiful, right on the sea! It was a bit difficult to find parking and have to climb over 100 steps to get to the property. The rooms were spacious and equipped with all the comforts. It's a shame we had a few issues with some small animals, but they were available to try to resolve the situation immediately. The breakfast was nothing special, a bit "poor" for the price. All in all, it was a great experience, with friendly and helpful staff. It's definitely very quiet, more suited to families or anyone seeking total relaxation and peace. Perhaps the value for money is a bit too high, though!

The Furano restaurant's location, directly on the sea, is the only strong point of an experience that, unfortunately, was a complete disappointment. Despite the upscale attitude, the service and cuisine fell short, and the final bill was completely unjustified. ​The service was far too informal: paper napkins and tablecloths, details that clash with the claim of a "5-star" experience. The ambiance was equally sparse: a gray, sterile floor, illuminated by overhead spotlights that created a dim, almost insufficient light, lacking the soft, refined atmosphere one would expect from a restaurant of this type. ​Moving to the food, the disappointments continue. The seafood salad was decent but unmemorable. The Cilento mozzarella, while not bad, didn't live up to its reputation. The real disappointment was the "octopus ragù": the octopus was in large pieces, not minced as befits a ragù, making the dish taste like simple octopus pasta. To top it all off, the coffee had a strong barley flavor. ​The final blow came with the bill: €94 for two appetizers, two first courses, and two glasses of wine. An exorbitant price for a mediocre meal served in a spartan setting. ​In conclusion, Furano failed to convert its stunning location into a quality experience. Its claim to be a high-end restaurant clashes with a reality of overlooked details, disappointing food, and an overly high bill.

The location offers a lovely view... but for €105, I wish the food was as good. Furano doesn't excite, in fact it disappoints... the appetizers were good, but the first courses were terrible... I don't know if the pasta was precooked... the octopus ragù was rubbery... the pasta with tuna and bottarga was overcooked, and perhaps the bottarga had evaporated... a once-in-a-lifetime experience... in the sense that I'll never return. The service was excellent and very genuine, but the waiter's awkwardness when he asked if it was okay spoke volumes. If, like me, you're celebrating an anniversary, choose another location... it might be less impressive, but your palate will thank you, and you'll also avoid an uncomfortable staircase.

In my opinion, Furano – Bahari deserves 5 stars for everything: excellent cuisine, carefully prepared dishes, and impeccable service. The venue overlooking the sea is truly fantastic, with a unique atmosphere that makes the evening unforgettable. The only drawback is the location: there are a lot of steps to climb, and unfortunately, there's no disabled access, which is why I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, I recommend the experience without hesitation.

A charming place with a magical seaside atmosphere, very romantic and relaxing. Delicious seafood and super friendly staff! The prices are slightly higher than average, but it's definitely worth it. The only downside: there are a few steps, so it's not suitable for the elderly or those with disabilities. Otherwise, nothing to complain about—fabulous!
