Restaurant not far from the historic center of Merate. It serves the strong dishes of the "Brianzola" and more generally Lombard tradition (e.g. braised meats, risottos) to which it combines more elaborate and refined dishes. It has a good wine cellar and retails local food and wine products. I generally eat quite well there, but I have to be honest: last time the champagne risotto with marinated char didn't convince me 100%. Which is also strange since in the two previous visits I have always eaten and tasted excellent risottos... it must have been a bad evening. The local cured meats taken as appetizers are excellent. Obviously I will return to review my rating upwards by trying some other dishes.

Attention to detail, passion for cooking and for the valorization of local products, a welcoming atmosphere and staff who transmit attention and also knowledge regarding the product offered. The cuisine is of excellent quality with a range of dishes that can satisfy every palate. The gnocchi pizzoccherati are exceptional, the risotto is perfectly cooked and creamed. The choice of wines is also excellent. For the occasion, a very successful corporate dinner.

We went to this place after visiting Monza, after booking without any particular problems, we were immediately intrigued by the menu which changes from time to time and can be requested directly. The place is really characteristic and welcoming, with a double fireplace, present both in the upper and lower part (it certainly has an edge in winter). Our table was in the tavern, which I consider to be a very intimate room and which can accommodate few people. The staff were very nice and helpful, praise for the waitress with whom we joked all evening. Very good dishes, quality ingredients, what can I say we ate really well. Price in line with the quality of the products and the location. We will definitely return when we are in the area.

My wife and I have been going to this tavern for several years now. The crostoni are an absolute must to try, more generally the menu varies according to the period and seasonality with dishes linked to tradition or reinterpretations in a more modern key. Worth mentioning is not only the cuisine but also the service carried out with great professionalism by the entire team of waiters. Honorable mention for Claudia always smiling L, kind and available to please us. Absolutely recommended!

Ci abbiamo pranzato oggi e siamo stati più che soddisfatti. Da quanto letto su varie recensioni, eravamo tranquilli sul fatto che si mangiasse bene ma siamo andati oltre le aspettative. Tagliere di salumi e formaggi di gran qualità, per non parlare dei crostoni di polenta misti. Ravioli con ombrina su crema di cime di rape : Top; paccheri con ragù di Fassona : gustosissimi; ganassino brasato con polenta: tenerissimo e saporito: taroz con verze e prosciutto delle foresta nera : ne avrei mangiati 3 piatti. I giovani proprietari ( tanto di cappello ) sono stati super accoglienti, simpatici e professionali. Per noi, questo pranzo è stato la giusta conclusione del periodo festivo. Lo suggeriremo a quante più persone possibili

Ottima cena lombarda, sia per qualità che per servizio che per sala da pranzo. Risotto, arrosti, trippa. Servizio attento e cordiale. Ottima la scelta di vini, prevalentemente locali ma selezionati con cura. Conto proporzionato. Da tornarci, quando in zona. Solo un suggerimento… le tovagliette di carta saranno anche comode per voi ma certamente non valorizzano il vostro locale.
