Freundalm In Racines

Wonderful place! It's a truly magnificent mountain hut, completely immersed in nature and immaculately maintained, far from the hustle and bustle of the ski lifts. The effort to get there is more than worth it; it's surrounded by lakes and numerous animals raised by the owners. The place is very picturesque, and the owners were friendly and helpful. The menu isn't extensive, but every dish was truly delicious. I highly recommend it for those who love hiking and good food!

A beautiful alpine pasture with stunning mountain views. The terrace, bathed in sunshine, is perfect for relaxing. The staff were all very friendly. The farmer's toast was absolutely delicious, and the other dishes looked very promising as well. We'd love to come back.

The mountain hut can be reached with a hike of about an hour and a half (time depends on your pace), with an elevation gain of about 500 meters. The climb is challenging due to the steepness, but the route itself presents no technical difficulties. We tackled it with very little, if any, snow, and it was very doable; I'm not sure if it would be as doable with snow. It's definitely worth the effort: once you arrive, you'll be rewarded with a splendid landscape and truly unique dishes. A tip for parking: don't stop in front of the fire station, but follow the signs for the mountain hut parking lot.

We had lunch after a nice two-hour walk in the woods. A quaint location, with goats, kittens, and ducks running around. We ate a truly delicious dish of potatoes, scallop, and fried egg, while my boyfriend ate delicious and delicious Alpine chili meat. The staff were kind and friendly. They even accepted our little dog.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply breathtaking! The view from the Freundalm is amazing, the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming. You feel at home from the very first moment. And the food? Absolutely delicious – especially the Kaiserschmarrn, which is truly divine! For me, it's one of the most beautiful alpine pastures ever. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back! 🏔️✨

We reached the mountain hut from the village of Telves di Sopra in about an hour (a route suitable for everyone). The road was partly icy but free of snow. The hut is nestled in a large pasture. The view of the mountains is magnificent. The owners were very friendly and hospitable. The food was truly excellent and the portions were generous. The dishes were also beautifully presented. The prices? Absolutely very fair. There are also many domestic animals on the hut: cows, rabbits, chickens, geese, and a cat. There are also plenty of tables outside with a view. The hut is furnished in Alpine/peasant style. Everything was top-notch: highly recommended!
