Frary's In Venezia

Very good and fresh food along with a great service. We stayed in Venice two nights and we dine with them both nights since most of Italian food here is just a low quality tourist traps. We enjoyed the mixed appetizer and daily specials. Specially chicken, Tuna, and Musaka. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely place in Venice if you're craving something outside pizza and pasta. The staff is amazing, very cordial and prompt. Loved the food.

This place was a nice surprise. The dishes were packed with flavor and tasted so fresh! My partner and I got the mini sampler app plate (no in the video), hummus, the special chicken dish of the day (garlic, yogurt, and some seasonsings) and I got the tajin chicken.

YOU must go here! Seriously, I saw so many recommendations for this place being safe to eat if you have celiac disease and having gluten free options. They were extremely knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable. But on top of that the food was INCREDIBLE! It was one of my most favorite meals while in Venice. We even had a friend coming to Venice the day after we left and told them to go there, and they did and also loved it. Look into reservations as they are quite busy because they are so good.

Great Arabic food in the best old town location on the canal. It's best to reserve in advance as it can get very crowded early in the evening. Beautiful dark atmosphere in candlelight. Lots of vegan and vegetarian dishes. It is particularly recommended to share many small dishes

Good food, attentive service, catering to intolerances / food allergies. Inside, however, it’s a bit narrow - only a few inches between tables is too close to other patrons for my taste.

We had dinner yesterday at Frary's. First of all, it's in a nice area full of bars which are perfect spots for an aperitivo. Second, the atmosphere in the restaurant is great, and the menu offers a lot of dishes. We had the mix of vegan appetizers, simply delicious, and the magluba, which is rice with veggies accompanied by hummus. Plus, we ordered some tasty kalamata olives and sweet onions. Great food! The waitresses were all attentive and friendly, and at the end we had a herbal tea they call "white coffee" that I would heartily recommend.

As the title says, we love the food, the ambience and the service at Frary's restaurant and will always be eating there whenever we return to Venice. We even made the reservation on line before we left the UK because we know how popular and busy it can get. Our flight WAS on time, the transport into the city was speedy and we were delighted to be back at Frary's half an hour after checking in to our holiday apartment. The welcome was as delightful as always and we were soon seated and enjoying half a carafe of the tasty house red wine. My wife who only has a small appetite chooses a meal from the Try Me menu and opts for the vegetarian option so I can help her out with it if necessary. I had the Mansaf vegetariano - a mildly spiced creamy sauce with rice and vegetables topped with nuts. We were soon replete, very happy to be back at Frary's and even making friends with the young Italian couple at the next table. It's that kind of place. The food is imaginative, varied to suit all tastes, allergy idiosyncracies and reasonably priced. The delightful young staff are exactly the right combination of friendly competence while still paying attention to detail. The training seems to us to be perfect in terms of customer care. We had three evenings when we had booked concerts but whenever we were able, we returned to Frary's. In fact, we didn't know if we would have the time to eat there on our final evening in Venice inbetween packing and checking out so we didn't book for either the 7pm or the 9pm sitting but were still tempted to look in 'on the off chance'. In fact, EVERY seat at EVERY table was taken and we were resigned to having to eat in the apartment but the wonderful Federica knowing one young group were ready to leave said "..a few minutes"... and we were soon seated and contented again. My wife continued to enjoy 'a bit of everything' - falafel, rice stuffed vine leaf, potatoes, cous cous, hummus, salad .... and more - while I enoyed the house special that night, vegetarian moussaka. Frary's is a VIBRANT restaurant rightly patronised by both tourists and Italians alike. They have earned - and deserve - their success so booking is advised if not essential.
